I have NO idea how much to budget towards flowers??

I am planning a blush/greenery wedding so I would love the flowers to be the main aspect of the wedding with big unruly bouquets and the main aspect of the tablescape to be flowers whether it be a garland if we have longer tables or circular if we end up with round tables.

I would also need 7 bridesmaids bouquets and a bridal bouquet which I plan to reuse at the top table. Also we would want to do both corners of our wedding arch.

I have attached photos to help put images to words, but still stumped on the cost.

I went to my florist and actually showed her the same middle picture from pinterest and she said that's min. $100 per table. I live in a small town and have found a lot of vendors are 3x the price in neighboring towns as mine are. So I would say if you do that on every table with real flowers/greenery it's going to be quite pricey.

Thankyou everyone for your advice. We have signed with a florist who quoted us $2500 which we were expecting thanks to this forum. I can't wait for the end result!!

This all depends on how many you want, DIY or hired florist, where you live....

I spent $60 total on my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets. An additional $8.99 for the greenery garland table runners. So, $70 is where we ended our floral budget. Idk of anyone else that got away this cheap... most people want to include flowers in other places through out the wedding, do boutinerres(sp?) for the guys, etc. We are having a more casual barn wedding .... so no need for that. Our total budget is 2500. You should just allot a certain percentage of your budget to that. Maybe 10%?

I am budgeting $1,000 for bouquets. I have 9 bridesmaids and me. So probably an additional $500 for boutonnieres and corsages. I'm still stuck on how much to do for the rest of flower decor!

    Hi Courtney,

Can I ask what city/state you're in? I'm planning to have similar flower theme and wanted to get for information before I speak to my flowerist.

    Hi Mimi,

I'm living in NYC and getting married in the Hamptons, our florist is traveling out from NYC so that price includes her travel fee. In that price we get:

    Arch corner pieces

    8 round table pieces

    2 12ft greenery pieces

1 8ft greenery piece (both greenery include flowers also)

    10 boutinneres

    3 corsages

    6 bridesmaids bouquets

    and my bridal bouquet.

    Hope that helps!

It depends on the type of flowers, how many tables, if you want extra for the cocktail tables, guestbook tables etc. I would try looking for a floral designer with no minimum. I have a very specific style (similar to yours!) and contacted 4 designers initially. Two of them had a minimum of $3000. My budget was $3000 and I knew they would go over it so I moved on. The other 2 were in budget, and it came down to style preference from there. The one I chose shares my vision and is very similar to the 2 that were over budget, but she doesn't have a brick and mortar storefront so her overhead is much lower, and this allows her to keep her prices lower. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions and consult with those willing to not only work with your budget, but stick to it.

After getting quotes for like $****, I said "nah" and went with Sola Wood Flowers. You have to DIY a little, but I got a bunch of stuff when they had a good sale, and every single flower and all of the things I needed to make the bouquets, centerpieces, boutinerres, etc, came in around $250. So...yeah, using that saved money for a honeymoon!!!

Depends on where the wedding is, the flowers you've selected, time of year... Best bet is to meet with local florists and get estimates, but my guess is you'll want to budget at least $5,000 based on your description of your vision.

Florist prices change depending on your location... I am in New York, and mine are around $2500, and that is WITH a budget! I was originally quoted at $4500.

Love the lanterns, though! I am doing something similar!

It depends on locations, how many tables/bridesmaids, and the types of flowers you want to use. We are using a florist called My Flower Box and For $5,600 we are getting:
-a large bridal bouquet (all orchids)
    -a toss away bridal bouquet
-10 bridesmaid bouquets (mixture of orchids, hydrandea, sweet pea, and other flowers)
    -12 boutonnieres (orchids)
    -flowers for parents (orchids)
    -flower girl flowers (orchids)
-mixture of high and low centerpieces (similar to bridesmaid bouquets)
    -flowers for cocktail hour
    -flowers for place card table
-a chuppah draped in orchids and other flowers found in the bridesmaid bouquets
    -fresh flowers for the cake

Courtney, it sounds like flowers are really important to you, and a big part of what you envision at your wedding. Speak to 3 different florists, and by then you'll have some idea of how much your ideas are going to cost.

We just booked our florist! Not sure where you are located but in Philadelphia most places had a 3,000 minimum.

    I was quoted:

    $295 - bridal bouquet

    $95 - bridesmaids

    $65-85 - low center pieces

    $200 - high center pieces

Worth noting: I am not flower specific at all (I actually much rather candles than flowers) so will be using only in season flowers

I guess I shouldn't feel bad, as I got a quote for 1300 for the wedding party and family flowers. I thought this, was kind of high, though.

I would say you are probably looking around $2,000 my florist gave me cheaper options and let me pick and choose what was important to us. I would find a local florist as I am in San Diego and I know the costs here are much larger than many places. Here is our final costs- don't be afraid to negotiate and get several quotes to compare. As you can see my girl gave us free boutonnieres and waived the sales tax to help save us some money

I got quoted $1100 from a florist for a bride bouquet, toss bouquet, 6 bridemaid bouquets, groom boutonniere, 6 for the groomesmen, seven corsages for moms/grandparents/female ushers, and three additional boutonnieres for dads and my brother, a mini boutonniere for the ring bearer, two mini corsages for the flower girls, and fresh flowers for the DIY centerpieces that I'm doing.

Also looking at Etsy for custom handmade silk bouquets and boutonnieres instead. I'm choosing to splurge elsewhere on our budget and want to keep flowers as cheap as possible so I'm looking for other options than the one above.

First off your inspiration photos are absolutely beautiful. I do floral arrangments for weddings quite often and in Northern California for something with those flowers, garlands etc., you would for sure be spending a few thousand dollars. Try Costco online for garlands they are decently priced and try using smaller filler flowers and then using your statement ones in places they will make the biggest impact. Maybe have your bridesmaids incorporate their bouquets into your reception décor to cut costs that way as well. Final cost will really depend on where you live and if the flowers you want are in season or not. Best of luck!
