I have NO idea how much to budget towards flowers??

I am planning a blush/greenery wedding so I would love the flowers to be the main aspect of the wedding with big unruly bouquets and the main aspect of the tablescape to be flowers whether it be a garland if we have longer tables or circular if we end up with round tables.

I would also need 7 bridesmaids bouquets and a bridal bouquet which I plan to reuse at the top table. Also we would want to do both corners of our wedding arch.

I have attached photos to help put images to words, but still stumped on the cost.

It really honestly depends on the florist and what flowers you pick. I'm doing a alot of greenery for my wedding as well with pops of color and rich jewel tones. My florist is charging $2500 for everything, that includes set up at the church, reception venue and break down / cleanup of everything. But my centerpieces are VERY simple. Just a black orchid with a floating candle on top and some greenery around the bottom and that had a lot to do with the price. There were other centerpiece opts that were a lot more expensive than the one I went with.

We had to upgrade the following extras to our package and it ran us $700: 6 BM bouquets, 2 mother corsages, 8 boutonnieres, decorative piece for ceremony arch

Included was 1 bridal bouquet, MOH bouquet, 2 boutonnieres, 10 centerpieces, mini bouquet for flower girl (I'd say this was valued at about $1000)

Total value: 1,700 in New York

Flowers definitely cost a lot. I have a small wedding party and opted for artificial everywhere I could. I'm spending about 350 on 3 simple bouquets with garden roses and some seeded eucalyptus, plus 2 corsages and 5 boutonnieres to match. That's using all in-season flowers and a local shop. I ended up getting some really nice artificial from Michael's for my centerpieces and I'm planning to get some garland-style from Hobby Lobby to fill-in.

I had a 8k floral budget, and I have spent every bit of that. TBH, you can do flowers for cheap as a DIY but you HAVE TO PREPARE. Costco+ harassing a friend or using silk/fake are all options! Floral costs truly depend on preference, location, type of flowers, what you want, etc.

Flowers are expensive, one reason why we decided to ditch the idea. My mom is paying for the little flowers we will be using at our ceremony. We will have lanterns with flowers on them for the bridesmaids, 50pp. A 1.5ft floral display for the sweetheart table, my bouquet, and lots of flower petals. I was at 750 for just that.

Also that was me not being picky about which flowers I wanted. I just focused on colors and whatever was in season.

I would recommend going to speak with a couple of florists. Each florist is different and each will probably come up with many different costs. I would suggest starting with a list of exactly what you want. Bring pics....please try to be open to all suggestions. My daughter loves Cala lilies...they are not cheap so the florist is only using them in her bouquet and the grooms bout. A florist will suggest alternatives to expensive flowers that will give you the same feel for a lesser price. For my youngest wedding she has the Brides bouquet, 3 bridesmaids, garland for the flower girls wagon, 3 kissing balls, 6 corsages, 10 bouts, and our cost is $664. We are in Orlando if that helps. We only need bridal party flowers as the venue supplies the centerpieces. When my eldest was getting married her initial wishlist was over $3000 however we received an additional quote from a different florist and she actually received her wants at a $1500 price tag. Research is the key...

It obviously depends on the season and type of flower, but realistically budget 1-2 thousand for flowers. It sounds like you need a lot. My friend had kept budgets low by incorporating carnations, and having the bridal bouquets made of fake paper flowers. Look online for alternatives or call your local florist for a closer estimate!

There's a reason I'm doing my own with bookpages and silks. One of the less expensive florists near me wanted $80 minimum for smaller bouquets. I have seven maids including my MOH plus my own bouquet. There was no way I had a real flower budget.

Originally, I wanted to save as much money on flowers that I could, so I was going to make my own artificial bouquets. However, the more I thought about it, the task seemed too time-consuming, so I opted to go with a florist. I splurged on buying bouquets for myself and my 3 bridesmaids, and corsages for my mom and future MIL. The total cost was around $550. For your reception, I would go fake all the way, no one will care if they're real or not. Michaels and Jo-Anns ALWAYS have sales!

I would gather that what you want will be in the 'yikes' category with respects to cost. you need to meet with florists asap.

May I ask what seller you are getting it by? I was looking on Etsy as well but I am a little hesitant due to it being online. Thank you

I live in NJ and had similar to what you're describing.

    Bridesmaids bouquets $85

    Bridal bouquet $125

    Boutonnieres $10

    Centerpieces $65

And I thought of flowers for an arch but decided against it when I was quoted $750 for the style I wanted. - Totally not worth the money for something guests will see for 15 minutes (or however long your ceremony is)

All said and done I spent $2000 and got really beautiful pieces.

Talk to a florist every place is different.

    Hi,

I have a Flower calculator that i found on this website www.weddingflowersandreceptionideas.com

if you are thinking of making it your own. You will add on the top how many of each you are having, Exp: Bride, Groom, Bridesmaids,Flower girl, centerpieces etc,

after you do this you will add the flower and add how many you want for each bouquet, bouts, corsages etc, and google how many estimated stem will come in a bunch it will calculate how many stems you need and how many stems you will have left from a bunch that you can use for other stuff.

    i have attached an example.

How many people you have and for what other things you need flowersAverage Flower Cost?? 1the total steams you need if purchasing by stems or how many bunches if purchasing bunches with how many left overs if you purchase by bunchAverage Flower Cost?? 2

    I hope this helps

$2500 was my estimate from the florist.. that 15 centerpieces, arch flowers for the ceremony, bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaids flowers, 6 boutonnieres, 2 mother bouquets, and flower girls petals and some small assortments for the welcome table and candy bar. its a lot I know but fake flowers are pricey too and the flowers will be our main décor... I never thought in my lifetime I would be spending that much on flowers but its a party and a day we will remember forever!!

I made my own flowers and roughly spent around 75-100 dollars. Waited until all the stores had a really good sale. And that was for all of the bouquets and boutique. Also got all of my center pieces at goodwill, hobby lobby or even Walmart when they went on sale. I felt it wasn't the need to spend a arm and a leg for things that are going to only be used once. Our budget is around $650 for personals only, and we are using sheet music roses or silk flowers for the rest of the floral decor. What about something textured like wood flowers? They'll be less expensive than real, but a bit more interesting than silk.

Most quotes in NYC are 3K-6K (230 guests - 15 centerpieces - 13 bouquets - 13 boutonnieres - 2 corsages - no flowers at church). It is definitely a LOT, however I travel 75% of the year for work so I don't have time for DIY, which would be great. But I was prepared for the 4K range.
