Average price for a DJ that is only there for reception???

A&J, on August 4, 2013 at 11:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I got a few offers from various DJ's, and they all charge from $600(after discounts, excl.taxes) and up to $1000.

Are those prices reasonable, if they are there from 6pm-1am???

It really depends on your area and the expertise of the DJ. The ones that i recommend are all between ****.

We are having ours from 4p-1a (incl ceremony music). We are paying about $1300 including taxes for his services & a few up lights.

My reception beings at 6pm and ends at midnight. The DJ is charging 400 dollars for the first 4 hours. Each additional hour is 75 each. Overall we are paying 550.

My DJ's charging me $450.00 from 6pm-1am, includes a lightshow, first dance spot light and many other things. He has 25 years of experience and was on the TV show Wedding Story Smiley smile

Right now the DJ I am leaning towards will be $600 for 6 hours, he is throwing in an extra hour for free because it is on a Sunday, and there is a $100 discount from WW, otherwise it would have been $700!

I would say 1000 would be cheap for the amount of hours you want
