Average Price for Engagement Photos?

Even though I'm 10 months out from my wedding date; it's always really bummed me out that we never took engagement photos even though I know we technically don't NEED them. When it comes to photos and my fiance it's like pulling teeth, he just does not like taking photos together most of the time...

Even though I'm 10 months out from my wedding date; it's always really bummed me out that we never took engagement photos even though I know we technically don't NEED them. When it comes to photos and my fiance it's like pulling teeth, he just does not like taking photos together most of the time even selfies. So he finally agreed to take engagement photos since he knows it will mean a lot to me. Since we're 10 months out though (Wedding is in April 25, 2020) should we even bother with engagement photos? What's the average price usually if it's not bundled with your wedding package already? Thanks!

    Most of the wedding photographers I’ve found include a “free” engagement photo shoot prior to the wedding, I think to kind of get to know the couple’s personalities before the big day. I’d look on Thumbtack and Yelp!

    I’m 9mos away from our wedding and still planning on taking engagement pics!! They mean a lot to me also: ) our photographer offers them for free to have an opportunity for all of us to get comfortable with each other...but my friend paid $150 for hers!

    I paid $80 for mine with a 1.5 hour session, 2 outfits(only did one) and we got about 55 pics! With Groupon but the average price I saw around here was about $500-$600 in VA...

    We’re wedding day twins🥰🥰🥰. We’re getting married the same day as you all. Definitely not too late. We just took our pictures yesterday. Our engagement pictures we’re part of a package deal with our photography.

    We did ours about 5 months before our wedding and almost a year and an half since we got engaged. We did our shoot with our wedding photographer so that way we are more comfortable with her. We did a 2 hour shoot for 250 but she did offer 1 hour shoot for 150. She also went over time and didn’t charge us at all. Just find someone that fits well with you and your other half.

    We live in Cincinnati and I believe my person only charged me like $60 and plus I am doing a Destination Wedding to Tennessee and she is going to do my Reception photos for only $300.


    You just needs a few cute photos for the Engagement.

    Our photographer included a complimentary engagement session in our package so that is why we took engagement photos, otherwise we were going to have a friend of our's take them for us.

    We are having our engagement photos done this November. Our photographer charges $175, and gives a discount of $25 since we booked her for our wedding.

    We just did our photos this weekend! I found this site where you book the session for free and just pay for the prints. We live in NYC so this was such an affordable option. we took photos on the waterfront between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
