Average wedding dress size?

Don't worry, it all depends on the designer! I wear a 6-8, but my wedding dress is a 14!

I wear a size 6 pants and my dress was a size 10. My matron of honor was a stick on her wedding day (probably a 2) and her dress was also a size 10.

It's the same inches in a six, as in a wedding dress 12, so why are you stressing about the number of the designer put on the label, instead of the inches? Nothing changes but what it's called

It all depends on the designer! Mine is a Val Stefani and is pretty true to size- I'm a street size 0/00 and my gown is a 2. My cousin's gown, however, was a 12 and she's a 6.

I wear a 2 dress but my dress is a 6 on top and 8 on the bottom (no boobs, yes booty haha). It's just how the sizing goes! In the end it's going to be exactly Kristin sized and that's all that matters!!

Same! I usually wear a 2/4 pants and my dress is an 8. The lady originally fitted me in a 10 and ordered it but after a second measurement she also ordered me the 8. My jaw hit the floor when she said 8/10 dress size- not that it's a big deal but I didn't know dress sizes were that much different!

It's just a number and sizing differs just a regular clothing stores so it makes sense that it's different for formal wear

I normally wear size 10 but my dress is an 18. No worries though, they run small!!

I'm normally a size 12-14 and my dress is a size 16w plus size dress. As someone who suffered with eating disorders when I was a teenager, I found it very depressing.

I'm 8-10 my dress was ordered in a 16 but I still have to get it taken. Don't stress and it's based on your biggest measurement

The wedding dress size means nothing at all. Dont stress about it. My dress was size 10 and I'm a size 2/4 in pants normally

I am a street size 4 and ordered my reception dress in a size 8. I probably should have even done a size 10 because it's a little snug in the hips. My ceremony dress is a size 6. That shows that sizing for wedding dresses is just all over the board and nothing to take personally.

Look, one thing about the fashion industry is that no two sizes fit the same. For example a Levis 8 will fit perfectly but I can't even get an 8 from Lucky/NDJ/Kut up passed my thighs. You're completely fine, as previously mentioned wedding dresses run small. Youll still look gorgeous on your wedding day and no one will know your dress is a size 12.

Wedding dress sizes aren't the same as street size.

Also, its just a number. Don't get hung up on it!
