BAB - and now I have a scratch on my nose 5 days out.....

Anne, on April 24, 2017 at 9:20 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 13

I had my bachelorette party over the weekend and it was a blast!

Photos! Me, then me with my MOHs and bridesmaid, and the whole group! (yes, we carried a blow up doll around to the bars...)

Unfortunately I scratched my face falling off the mechanical bull... so now I'm freaking out about this red line directly in the middle of my nose! Does anyone have any advice on getting it to heal quickly??? Or makeup to use in the event that it doesn't heal?

Looks like you guys had so much fun!!!! Recently (a week ago saturday) I got a big scratch on my finger......was kind of deep. I used antibiotic ointment and a band-aid overnight and then 'let it breath' during the day. It's nearly gone now. I realize you won't want to wear a band-aid on your nose, especially if you're out of the house........maybe at night to help it heal though?

@Melissa - good idea! I should definitely wear a bandaid at night to protect it. I'm hoping that it is shallow enough that it will heel this week...

Advice on scrarch - vitamin E oil, and if it scabs keep the scab moist so it doesn't crust and flake off. If it does scab, don't pick at it. Stay out of the sun too, sun promotes scarring

Thanks! I'm thinking it should be fine for the MUA to deal with if it isn't 100%. I'll email her to make sure she has sufficient concealer for it.

@Kristin - I'm allergic to neosporin Smiley sad and bacetracin and any other ointment like that. I'm going to try vitamin E oil, hopefully it will help!

I had to have a spot removed on my skin to have a biopsy done about a week before my sisters wedding. The doctor told me to keep it moist and covered. I put antibacterial on it and then covered it with a band aid and it healed great.

Any makeup artist will be able to cover that up. Makeup does wonders lol.
