Baby flower girl/ring bearer

Future Mrs. Glass, on June 14, 2018 at 3:19 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10
Hey y’all, I’m getting married in a few months and I need some suggestions on how to get a year and 2 month old ring bearer and a 7 month old flower girl down the aisle in my wedding? I really want to include them since they are family. Any ideas will be appreciated!

Or wedding next spring will be the same way with a 1 1/2 year old as a ring bearer and a 1 year old flower girl. Their older siblings will also be in the wedding so the kids will either hold hands walking the younger ones down the aisle or pull a wagon with both of them in it.

Love the wagon idea. Any suggestions on who to carry or pull them out? The mother and father are in the wedding for the ring bearer so I thought maybe them walking him down together, but didn’t know how that would look? And the mother is in the wedding also for the flower girl but she’s walking down in the middle of the bridesmaids so not sure who to use to pull the flower girl in a wagon down the aisle...maybe my maid of honor?

A wagon isn’t safe for babies who can’t sit unassisted for a long time or for toddlers who are a little too adventurous. My 17 month old climbs on/out of everything. Putting her in a wagon without a safety harness would be asking for injury. Their parents should carry them or walk with them. A 7 month old isn’t going to do anything but sit there anyway so it doesn’t really matter where in the processional she goes.

Agreed! My twin daughters will be 7 months old at the time of my wedding and originally we thought about the wagon idea. But another thing to consider is little babies can sometimes be unpredictable. They may be ok sitting in a wagon, or they may throw a damn fit. So, if their parents are in the wedding, it may be best to just let them be carried so that they are with someone they trust and won’t panic!

I agree with what's already been said about having someone carry them down aisle. And it's actually what I'm doing. My brother and sister in law will be carrying my 2 1/2 year old nephew and 9 month old niece. The wagon idea has been tossed around as well.

I'd say carrying is probably your best bet. But, the bride/groom from the wedding the night before mine had an RC car for their baby (not sure the age, but he was pretty young) that they buckled him into and had a groomsman send the car down the aisle and then to the baby's parents.

You can do a wagon if you want that's always cute. I carried my nephew in my sister's wedding (her son) so that we didn't have to fuss with anything at the end of the aisle. Bonus when he started fussing and we couldn't get him to quiet I was able to run him out for a second (he was about 11 months at the time and just wanted to walk a little) let him get it out and brought him right back in!

Hey there! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! Smiley ring I would definitely be cautious about pulling the babies in the wagon, just be sure to obtain any protective measures to secure their safety! Aside from that, this would be a super cute way to incorporate them! Good luck!
