I was reading confession Friday and saw some baby names! Decided to start another thread about it because clearly it's Friday and I'd like to do anything but work. Me and Fh are planning to stop my bc a month before the wedding and TTC. We have names picked out. We are naming both boy or girl after grandparents/parents in a way. I don't think ours are too crazy so I'll share.

If we have a boy his name would be J Henry Ford. FH is Sterling J FFIL is Danny J. So the J has some significance to us, Henry is FH's great grandpas name, and also my dad and grandpa's name which I love.

Girl would be Katherine Lee Ford. FH's granddad used to race and they are very well known in the ginning business and everyone who knew him called him KAT. FH still goes to gins and older employee's tell him all the time he is a spitting image of KAT.

Anyone have some creative names?? If you don't wanna share I understand, like I said. Friday=no work Smiley smile

@TWOstrich I love the name Harper! I also like Harlow for a girl.

Love the names! But, when I read Katherine Lee Ford, I thought Kathy Lee Gifford. No one else made that connection though, so apparently it's not that noticeable.

So I'm 18 weeks pregnant, we won't find out what we are having for a couple of weeks yet. I have a girl name that I have my heart set on but DH isn't totally on board. My girl name is

Seraphina Patrice ( or Serafina Patrice)

I wanted a unique and feminine Saint name and fell in love with Seraphina. My dad's name is Patrick so Patrice would be a nod to him. For a boy I like Josiah or Josias in Spanish. His nickname would be Josey.

For a girl, we picked Ava Simone (same initials as FH). I originally picked Ava Grace (Grace being my middle name). I may drop my middle name and change to my maiden name when we marry (don't wanna lose my late father's name). May revisit "Simone" to keep Grace in the family.

No boy names picked, because I want a girl!!! We have two boys...

MayBride, I thought of Kathie Lee Gifford also!

Am I the only the that thinks it's creepy when people refer to their unborn baby by its name on social media?

I have a Kaila, Travis, Annika, Marek and Jaxon. Kaila's middle name is my first name and Travis's middle name is my ex husband's first name (Blaine). Annika's middle name is Mikaela (feminine for her dad, Mike) Marek's middle names are Robert James, for mine and my ex's fathers. Jaxon's middle name is Lee. Why? Because I ran out of names and thought it sounded good together lol

All we know is that if we have a boy, his middle name will be my maiden. Actually, if we have two boys they'll have the same middle. My best friend's daughters middle name is the same as mine. I want to give my daughter my bestie's middle name in return. We're sister friends :-D

We always agreed on Elijah for a boy and Faith for a girl. Once we found out we were having a girl we couldn't figure out a middle name we liked, so she's Alijah Faith. I made a little monogram to put over her crib (Pinterest is your FRIEND lol)

My son's name is Konley Jordan (Jordan being my fiances middle name). We debated between that or Maddox. If we have a girl I'm leaning towards Ava.

FI isn't a fan of my boy names. The name Mateo has been on of my favorites. It became such a big deal when my friend found out she was pregnant. She had a fit about it being "HER" name. She ended up having a girl so it didn't even matter in the end. That was the last time I mentioned anymore names that I liked. We hadn't really discussed girl names before.

    Mateo

    Elias

    Valeria

    Natalia

    Valencia

    Adelina

Lara I am always creeped out when people call their baby by the name before it is born, like at the shower and stuff. I guess I'm a little superstitious about it.

Lmao, @Maybride no I didn't even think of that. BOO!! haha.

I really wanted to name my boy Jaxon. I LOVE Son's of Anarchy. haha FH said our first boy would be named after grandpa's and my dad. But he did agree if we have more than one boy I can have Jaxon.

I love thinking about this Smiley smile

Gianna, Amelia, Giselle, Mackenzie, Zoe, Sydney, Charlotte, Kendall, Addison and Amaya... there are a few that I love but my FH doesn't care for. Like Peyton and Kennedy.

Liam , Spencer, Noah, Mason and Ethan for boys.

@SoontobeMrsO, I love Kennedy. Before we chose Katherine, we had Kensington. Which if I get my way we will have 4, and my perfect world would be 2 girls 2 boys. haha and I can get to use all my names.

Staci, I am in 100% agreement. Like it's okay if you call it by its name to your SO or immediate families, but not all over the place.

FH and I narrowed it down to these names. We want 2 kids, so unless our first is a girl, we need another boy name!

    Eloise (Ellie) Mae

    Nora Leigh

    Sawyer Leigh

    August Xavier

    Boy: Christopher Carl Huckleberry

We'd call him Huck for short. Carl is DH's middle name. We both have different reasons for Christopher. DH loves Christopher Hitchens, and I love Christopher Robbin Smiley smile Smiley smile We both think it's a strong first name, but we'll probably only use it when we're upset "Christopher Carl Huckleberry LastName" really rolls off the tongue.

    Girl: Kolo Kossmo

Maybe? We can't agree on names at all, but we both love that name. We do know that we want to honor my great grandmother's name of Kolo Kossmo somehow.
