Baby Names

I like Violet for a girl, and Luca (not Lucas, just to clarify! No typo) for a boy. FH has a soft spot for the name Isaac. I like it but I don't think it goes with the last name.

I dreamed that we have a little boy and we name him Luke. Ever since then, we've both been obsessed with the name. So it'll be Luke Steven Hollingsworth. For a girl, I love Elyse, and I'd like to have her middle name be my moms name- Renay.

@PrincessArianna my cousin's daughter's name is Bria Rose! I always think Briar Rose when I hear her name.. I love it.

Just throwing this out there for a what would you do: if you found out one your siblings/sibling in laws planned on naming their child the same name you've picked out but plan on calling the child a different name than you are, would you still use it?

FW and I have picked our Charlotte Lee after my great great grandmother and both of our mothers (both have Lee as a middle name) and plan to call her Charlee. FSIL wants to name her second daughter (currently has none) Charlotte LeeAnn for similar reasons. They would call her Charlotte. No one in this scenario is expecting so it's all hypothetical.

FH is a Jr. and he'd like to continue his name. I'm cool with it, luckily I don't have to name my son Jr. (bc I dislike Jr./Sr. and prefer II, II, etc), unluckily FH doesn't have a middle name so my future son can't have a middle name. So we decided on Todd, III if we have a boy (both out preferences are boys).

And if we have a girl- Madison Jewel. Madison has been my future daughter's name since I was 11, and I still love it. We have no back up names, LOL. So ideally a boy then a girl. If not we'll have to figure it out.

@AlmostaMrs no I wouldn't still use it. Maybe Charlotte as a middle name for the second.

I have always loved the name Anthony. When FH and I started dating and got engaged we started talking baby names. We both agreed on Anthony Ryan (Ryan being FH's middle name). We planned on calling him Tony. Well if you notice, our last name will be Hawks. I realized our son would then be Tony Hawks. I no longer like it haha. Unless we can think of a different nickname for him, we aren't too sure we want to use that anymore. Of course we would just call him Anthony. As for other names we like Desiree Elaina (my mom wanted to name me desiree and Elaina in memory of FH's grandma) and Lucille Marie (Marie for my grandmother) for girls. We are very indecisive!

My family recycles names like no ones business, I have the same middle name as my aunt, my mom's middle name is my great gmo's first name, etc. Me and all my siblings have hyphenated names so I plan on doing the same for my children. I like:

I'm a little worried that one of my pregnant cousins is going to name their boy after my/our grandfather. I know it's not my name to claim, so basically I'm just hoping they have other family members they want to honor... or else family parties are going to sound like My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

I just wanted to warn you about stopped your bc before your wedding - I had a friend who wanted to TTC right after their wedding who stopped in the few months before, and she had CRAZY breakouts just a month before her wedding, she was so upset and stressed about it!! She an emergency pack from her gyno to try to fix it. She ended up conceiving 6 weeks after her wedding and she wished she had just waited til after the wedding to stop the pill! You may also have random bleeding that could be unpredictable and I definitely wouldn't want to be dealing with that the day of my wedding or on my honeymoon!
