OMG @Ostrichtime, I'm also 18 weeks pregnant!! When is your due date?

Is it bad that I have no clue what to name our child?

I like the names Mikayla, Belle or Leah for a girl. And Benjamin/Ben for a boy, there was an L name i liked too..but can't think of it now.. lol

Girl names: Amelia, Lennon, Collins.

FH hates them all.

I don't love any boy names lol.

Always liked names like Emily, Olivia, Isabelle, but those have been pretty popular for a while. Right now, I like Natalie. No clue if it's a boy, lol!

I want to name my daughter Suzanne after my grandma. I'd probably call her Annie though.

I love the name Peter for a boy.

And Hazel for a girl. I liked Hazel Irene, but her initials would be HIS and well... no thanks.

@Almost a Mrs - Something Similar happened to me when FSIL was pregnant 2 years ago with my god daughter she had a name picked out & was set on it.. I'm talking posted it on Social Media and everything.

One day, we were at FMILs house and FH mentioned to his mom that Her middle name & My moms first name were the same(Isabel) and thats what we planned to name our first daughter Isabella as a way to "honor" our mothers. And what do you know.. two days later our niece had a new name, FirstName Isabele LastName. It seriously drove me insane, I got really upset I'm pretty sure I cried lol

I made it a point to mention that the name was really important to us and so if she still wanted to name her baby that then they would just be cousins with similar names (Clearly I was/am not pregnant so I have no ownership of the name).

They still named her M___ Isabele LastName. In FHs family, they repeat names like no ones business so for them it wasn't weird (FH had 2 other cousins with his name as their 1st or middle name). But I can't lie and say it doesn't bother me when they talk about it like they thought of it first or when FSILs husband calls her M____ IsabeLLA, when thats not what her name is and her first name is long enough you don't need to call her both names for no reason lol.

End Rant. Sorry, clearly this is still a sensitive subject for me. But Also a lesson in sharing names with people close to us.

We plan on TTC shortly after the wedding and are pretty much on the same page for names. FHs last name is pretty raciallly ambiguous and I'm leaving behind a very Spanish Last name so I feel pretty strongly that our children have names that reflect their Spanish background.

Boys:

Dwayne Isaac Jr (But he will go by Isaac)

Jeremiah (Jemmy/Jem for short)

Henry William (Hank for short & William is FFILs name)

Cecilio (for my grandpa, might become a middle name contender)

Girls:

Isabella

Penelope

Alessandra

Valentina

Rosie

Hailey or Hallie

My FH wants to name our first born boy Lowell...after his dad.....

Edit: I don't have a dad and his father is really like a dad to me, but I hate his name.

My son's name was Christopher James. When I was pregnant with him, I only had a girl's name picked out because I just knew I was having a girl. The name I had picked out was Cadence Danielle. For a boy, he wants him named after him. Not a problem there.

I love the name Lenora for a girl but FH nixed that one bc it was the name of the nursing hom his ex wife's grandma was in. :/

For a girl I love Molly Jo (I'm Becky Jo, named after my godmother Amy Jo)

For a boy FH and I both love Robert Brian (Robert is my dad's middle name and Brian is his dad's first) FH is named after his grandfather's as well. We would call him Robbie.

I am determined to name my first daughter Molly, but if I have more I love the name Charlotte (NN Lottie), and Quinn (would sound horrible with new last name).

Brooks is a top pick for FH and I to name a boy but finding a middle name to go with it is proving to be difficult.

I love the names Alexis, Harper, Sutton, Sloane, Laurel, and Leighton. I'm much better with girl names!

I love Avery Marie for a girl. I like the spelling Averie better, but I think it looks weird next to Marie. Averie Marie...ehh.

Our boy will be Travis Jr. after FH. We'll call him TJ.

My sons name is Blake Robert If we have a girl in the future, her name will be Aria Marie.

My sons name is River James. River because my fiancé grow up on the water, and loves everything about it, and James after my dad that passed away.

For a girl I love Amelia Lane, Carolina Isabelle, and very very plain... Emily Jane, haha.

For boys I love love love Luca Cade (last name is Herrera), or Benjamin Kayden.

I also really like the name Logan Averie for a girl, but Logan is an exes younger sister's name, so I don't think I'd ever use it.

My middle name is Katherine I've always loved the name (far more than my first name).

Boys: Royce James and Elijah Andrew (Eli for short)

Girl: Chloe Jean
