Bach and Bridal Showers-fall Brides

Ti'Anna, on May 8, 2020 at 1:02 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 14

Hey ladies and Happy planning. I hope everyone is working hard to try and keep their spirits high with all of this virus mess and wedding planning mixing, which I truly know is hard. I was wondering what are all the fall brides doing about their bach trips and bridal showers planned. Are you still moving forward with the original dates you planned for or just waiting it out. My bach trip is planned for the end of July to Miami, but my mom has advised that maybe its time to start thinking of other options, such as changing the date and unfortunately the location. How are you guys handling this??

My bach and bridal shower was supposed to be in April and my wedding in June. Unfortunately, we postponed the reception to September. Sadly, I could care less about a bach party at this current moment. I just don't have any more energy to potentially cancel again as travel doesn't look too good right now. Things are hard enough as it is already, so I told my girl to cancel everything and lets just hope and pray we can have the reception in September.

If the reception is on the girls suggested we do something small in town just to help get us excited about the wedding again. I didn't realize they too were feeling depressed until we talked a few days ago. We might have to consider doing things differently as it looks like 2020 is going to be the year of doing things backwards. So bridal shower after the wedding might be the normal for us 2020 brides. Good luck to you!

Our wedding is in October and our combined bachelor/ette trip is Labor Day Weekend in a small mountain town. Almost everyone is traveling from <4 hours away except for us, we will have to fly. So far we are planning to continue with it, as with the wedding. If we are able to have the bach trip I think we will, even if we have to postpone the wedding. There will be maybe 15/16 of us total.

I was thinking the same thing. Thank God most of my bridal party lives locally, but I still wouldn't want to put anyone at risk. I think maybe a trip after the wedding could still be fun.

Yeah my MOH said this week, she is going to continue to plan and just come up with several options. I've even suggested moving it to September since I am October bride.

Yeah mom even suggested that maybe we just have to shorten the amount of people invited as well just as a precaution.

October bride here! I haven't even thought about what I want to do for my bachelorette party. If you all decide to do one locally, what would you guys do? I'm hesitant on even going out to a restaurant if they're open up for dine in again. However, for my bridal shower, I was thinking just inviting a few of my girls over and our moms to open gifts and play bridal games, and host it in my backyard.

I was thinking if I had to mine locally, maybe a paint and sip with a few friends at the house, a pj night with movies, or just a simple lunch.

Yeah i think it would be smart for if you can move it the latest you can just to err on the side where more time would help.

My wedding is next May 2021 but I have a client who's getting married in September and she called me for ideas. I suggested that they change their location to perhaps a private airbnb where they have private amenities like a private pool or jacuzzi and they can bring these like games to do. There's this paint and wine package that you can have mailed to you and that's an idea to do. One of her bridesmaids is a Jamaican chef and she's in love with the idea of renting a cabin in the mountains for her bachelorette party, and I told my client that's a great idea. HTH

October bride! My bachelorette was supposed to be end of June, but I had to make the tough decision to move it. It was going to be driving distance for my girls but flying distance for me since I am in Georgia and majority of the bridal party lives in New England. We moved it to the end of August, same location. Luckily a lot of airlines have removed change fees and cancellation fees so I was able to change my already booked flight. As for my shower, have not picked a date but I am thinking September. Things are just going to be a lot closer together than originally planned! Trying to keep my spirits up about it!

Mine was suppose to be in New Orleans in June. New Orleans was hit hard with the Corona so we are doing a girls night at my house. Games, drinks, and food. Just keep it simple. My Bridal Shower is in September and far as I know my people are still moving forward with it.

I totally understand. Where are you guys planning on going trip wise? We are moving my July trip to either the end of August or September.

Oh okay, I love New Orleans. We just visited last May for my fiance's birthday and my grandmother's side of the family is creole(they're from a small town in Louisiana). I think the girls night can still be lots of fun. I'm not sure what we're doing as far as my bridal shower with everything that is going on now.
