Bach Party/gifts

on April 29, 2021 at 9:09 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7

Hi!!! Just a simple question. Do I get my bridal party gifts for the bachelorette party? I've downscaled a lot and just going to brunch and some craft place. I was planning to give them their gifts the day before the wedding correct? Also, what did you ladies get your bridal party as far as gifts. Thank you!!

All of the bach parties I've seen and the one I've been to, the MOH or host/hostess were the ones that supplied the gifts if there were any! Usually the bridal party doesn't want the bride to pay for any expenses, or if any very little, so they take care of everything and spoil her/him for the trip!

I asked my bridal party the same question and they told me to not get them anything because that wasn't my job 😂 But I do plan on paying for their dinner/drinks one night, and also any uber/lift fairs we have during the trip!

For the day-of gifts, I'm giving them a satin PJ set, a portable wine tumblr from W&P porter, a trinket tray with their monogram from Anthropologie, and an airplane bottle of their favorite liquor/wine! Nothing is going to have wedding titles or the wedding date on it, but if I personalize the pjs, it'll have their monogram!

I don’t think gifts are necessary for a bachelorette party. If you can tell that your friends went to a lot of trouble (i.e. spent a lot of money on decorations, food, games, covered your expenses, etc.), then I think sending each one a thank you card (not a text/email) is the right level of appreciation.

For the bachelorette party, usually the bridal party put together any gifts that may have been giving. My MOHs have made a tumbler with each girl's name on it in the Disney font and they made t-shirts with cute little sayings on them in the wedding colors. I think the girls paid for the shirts, but the tumblers will be their little gift. I've also been to bachelorettes where the gift was like a hangover kit where there were little single serve packets of Advil, a bottle of water, a chocolate bar and bag of chips. Just simple things.

For my bridal party's day of gifts, I'm getting them each a tote bag with their name or monogram on it, a flannel shirt to wear for getting ready, a wine glass with their favorite Disney character on it, and then I'm getting them each a gift personalized to them. We will be giving the gifts the night before the wedding so they can use the totes and wear the flannels on the wedding day!

So we're doing a brunch and a craft class. It will probably end within 5-6 hours so a short day. A thank you note is a very nice idea though.

Yeah a thank you note would work perfect in this case then!

The bride does not gift gifts for the bachelorette party nor does she plan the party. The bride is a guest only.

As for gifts for your bridesmaids, get them something that fits their individual interests that is not wedding related. Also does not have their name or title. Stay away from day of photo props such as jewelry or robes that won’t be worn again. If you want to give them, great, but give an actual gift in addition.

If someone is into coffee, get a fancy tumbler on Etsy and fill it with related goodies. If someone is big into a certain tv/movie franchise, get something related to that. Work your way down the list.
