Bachelor/ Bachelorette party timing

Hi Jenny! Typically, you should have your bridal shower/bachelor and bachelorette parties about 1 month prior! I would aim for that, and just let your friend know well in advance so she can put in her vacation time! The joint-city idea also sounds good! Good luck!

I think it's usually about a month before the wedding. My shower and bachelorette party are happening now, 3 months before the wedding. It was the only time that worked for people, but it definitely feels awkwardly early...I'd aim for closer to the wedding. Good luck!

I'm getting married at the end of October. I wanted to do mine in September but the was no free weekend so it's going to be at the beginning of August (almost 3 months before).

I think 1 to 2 months before the wedding is appropriate. That's when start getting the most excited and as PP said, if it's too early it can be a little awkward.

I’m having a bachelorette party weekend 8 weeks out. FH’s will be 7 weeks out. My shower is scheduled 3 weeks before the wedding.
