Bachelor party location ideas

Tory, on April 14, 2021 at 2:02 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
Hey everyone, so this one isn’t as much advice for something, but more-so general ideas. My fiancé and his best man are struggling to think of a good bachelor party spot. Just a little background, they have planned it to be a Friday night-Sunday night next early April, and my fiancé wanted to keep it lowkey with renting a house, playing drinking games, cornhole, volleyball etc. and then maybe doing go karting, mini golfing & jet skiing. They do not want to fly anywhere because that would make it impossible for them to bring the alcohol they need as well as the beer pong table/cornhole boards. We live in Maryland, and he wanted to do it at a beach if possible (but not a necessity), and was unsure about Ocean City and the surrounding beaches because he knows it’ll still be pretty cold in April here. Do any of you know any good beach spots that aren’t too far of a drive for a weekend or any good backup options for places that would have big house rentals and offer the go karting, mini golfing and jet skiiing option? Thanks in advance!

Hi fellow Marylander! Agreed that OC is still pretty chilly in April, which also axes beaches north of MD as well (would've suggested Rehoboth/Dewey in DE or even NJ beaches otherwise). You could possibly check out Virginia Beach (4.75 hours from the Baltimore area) or the Outer Banks (6.5 hours) if you're looking for beaches, or Deep Creek (3 hours) or Harpers Ferry (1.25 hours) could be cool, but not sure if they offer the other activities you mentioned.

It might be hard to find a location within driving distance that'll have true beach weather in April. Anywhere in Florida or maybe coastal Georgia would have the weather and probably cheap enough flights, and they can always buy alcohol when they get there! Some places may also provide corn hole and a suitable beer pong table.

Yeah I think they were thinking about potentially Virginia Beach. I feel like OBX would be great if it wasn’t such a long drive for only one full day. And he might always decide on doing Ocean City, Rehoboth or Bethany Beach if he just decides they wouldn’t go in the water at all 😂

I say look into Deep Creek! There’s some amazing cabins right on the lake with a hot tub, fire pit and grill for the guys. It would be too early for jet skiing but they would have a hot tub to enjoy.

What about Eastern CT? Great beaches and the Foxwoods casino has go-karts and Top Golf. Lots of space for drinking games on the beach and great houses to rent in Mystic.
