Bachelor/ette Dates

So mine was just kind of random as it was a very simple night put to dinner and bowling. My husband's was two days before our wedding. He didn't want to make his best man and one of his groomsman travel a far distance twice. The best man lives across the country and the one groomsman lives eight hours away so they just came in for the wedding a day early.

Oh that's smart regarding the travel. Was it stressful to have another event so close to your wedding?

Mine was chosen just based on everyone's availability, within a 1-3 month time frame from the wedding date. My MOH organized the bachelorette party. She asked everyone to send a list of weekends that they weren't available, and then she narrowed it down from there.

View Quoted Comment Nope! His groomsmen/groom's woman planned his bachelor party so he just picked up the best man from the airport then the two of them traveled together to where the party was.

Sounds like as good a reason as any! We chose our date as it was when my Moh who lived across the country was going to be in town.

When people have off of work or school vacations would make sense to plan trips. Unfortunately, this is the exact time that hotel rates and flights are the MOST expensive 😫

My MOH planned everything. She first asked when I was available then asked everyone else if there were weekends they couldn't do and she picked based off of that. At the time she was just graduating from pharmacy school and was going to start her job about a month later with no built up PTO so we ended up doing it about 4 months before the wedding because it was most convenient for everyone. All but 1 girl ended up going and it was a blast! It actually was kind of nice having it early because we didn't have to cram all pre wedding events into 1 month, we spread it out throughout about 4 months.
