Bachelorette Gifts!

Shelly, on October 23, 2020 at 3:02 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11

Hey everyone! I like to get ahead on planning, and was wondering what you all have received or given as gifts at the bachelorette party! Just looking for ideas! I'm open to unique/affordable suggestions as well!

Were there items you wished you would/wouldn't have been gifted? Is there a particular gift you actually use rather than throw away?

TIA! Smiley smile

I did little hangover kits and koozie for my bridesmaids! I've also received sunglasses and floral crowns that were really cute!!

I hadn’t even thought of that. Time to scour Etsy!

I've never actually been to a bachelorette with gifts. Mine was a complete surprise to me, so I didn't plan anything for mine either.

The gift was my bachelorette party. It's not considered a gift-giving occasion in my region.

I paid for the villa as my thank you to the girls coming to my Disney World bachelorette, as well as a few rounds of shots. My MOH provided koozies, Minnie ears and hair ties as favors for the girls at my bach. I was gifted by her an Alex and Ani bracelet, as well as special bride ears. I had her tell the attendees specifically not to buy me any gifts.

I’ve been to two other bachelorettes where the MOHs demanded we purchase lingerie for the bride which was mad awkward. Two bridesmaids and I also made a wedding advent calendar of sorts where every day for a month she got to open a fun new gift. We kept it super practical and selected things she could use before/after the wedding—hair ties, earrings, gum, candy, hand sanitizer, lotion, some travel things for the honeymoon...

Bachelorette parties are not generally gift giving occasions. I have been to a lot, but never any gifts or favors. And don't see a need, given that proposal gifts, getting ready items, and shower or wedding favors that cannot be eaten on the spot, I rarely take, and always pitch the rest. Even 30-40 jewelry sets, always things I cannot or won't wear. A waste of money, to me. And anything that is personalized, about weddings, or own name, even Goodwill and Salvation Army won't take, so they literally go right in the trash, unless it is something like robes that I won't wear, but kids like to cut up for doll clothes.

Given the time I got each guest a coin purse/wallet that I filled with a satin mask with a matching scrunchie and their favorite shot of liquor.

I was the MOH for my cousin and made gift bags for each of the girls to take when they left. Each bag contained mini bottles of champagne or rosé, suggestively shaped lipsticks, compact mirrors that were on theme with the party (“Shine Bright Like A Diamond”), nail polish + travel nail polish remover, hangover recovery pills, chocolates and some fun little add ins from Lover’s Lane like tingling body balm. Each girl loved it and I got huge compliments on everything! One of the girls was in her mid 30’s with many bach parties under her belt and said she had never gotten a gift bag before and love it.

I also did small gifts for each winner of the games we played throughout the night and that was a hit as well! Not necessary but I think it made it extra special since no one was expecting it.
