Bachelorette ideas for Northern NJ/NYC area

Wendy, on January 27, 2016 at 7:04 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

I'm looking for Bachelorette party ideas for the Northern NJ/Hudson Valley and NYC area. I want to avoid the club and bar scenes. I'm thinking a spa day, or wine tasting, nice restaurant for dinner, or culinary cooking and maybe a possible overnight stay with the girls that's affordable. Has anyone done the NJ Adventure wine tour in Parsippany? Or had a spa day at a hotel? Looking for unique ideas or suggestions?

Thank you

Medieval times has some kind of special party package. I thought that would be fun for a bachelorette but I don't think my bridesmaids are doing that.

I haven't heard of the Parsippany wine tour, but there are a few wineries in northwest NJ. Cava, Brook Hollow, and Three Sisters. I've been to Cava and I like it. I've never been to Brook Hollow but I've heard good things. This may be too far for you, but if you want to do a pole dance party I dance at Dakini Movement in Warren. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. The classes are fun, safe, and make you feel so good about yourself.

I know there are lots of group cooking class-type things in NYC, and countless other things to do. I would google "bachelorette cooking class" or "bachelorette wine tasting" and NYC to find info.

I'm thinking about doing one of those sunset cruises out of JC for my bachelorette... And then partying afterwards at a bar maybe......

I organized a party bus for my sister's 40th birthday last year. We toured 3 wineries in Sussex county: Cava, Ventimiglia, and Westfall. We started at Cava for lunch, which has a restaurant. We finished at westfall, since that was the furthest away. The group favorite was Westfall. Tastings were about $5 or so. I believe westfall offered free tastings. We left around 11am and returned back around 5 or 6 I think. For 13 people, it was about $55 including tip. I was thinking of doing this again for my bachelorette party. Another idea was a wine festival and party bus and lunch there from the food trucks.

Or I love the glasswork studio in Morristown. They have a party room area and it's pretty easy to park around there. You can make a trivet or picture frame for a reasonable price.
