Bachelorette Invites

Nicole, on September 17, 2022 at 6:52 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9

So I have a bridal party of 9, which is amazing and I can’t wait to celebrate with all those girls. Since they are sisters, sister in law, childhood besties, college bestie and cousin. However, I really want to invite my fiancés half sister and his step sister in law to the bachelorette (the Bachelorette is in a different city) but his half sister is only 17 & I barely know his step sister in law who is 25.( me & his whole family live in the same city) However, my sisters (who are planning the bachelorette) don’t agree that I should invite them since they think should only be the bridesmaids & it would be inappropriate with the decorations & the drinking to invite the half sister since she is so young. The only issue you can’t invite one without the other because are both living at the fiancés step mom & dads house. So I don’t know if I’m overreacting & should still invite the half sister & step sis in law bc they are family to me. Or should I not invite them & instead use my discount hotel rates at a hotel in the city we live in another weekend with just the two of them & me for a girls weekend?

Nine BMs is already a lot with different personalities, etc. on top of trying to accomodate a minor in the mix. I think it would be a nice gesture to do something at a later time with the other two.

I think that is why my sisters recommended not inviting them. That’s why I mention the idea of a staycation with them! Thank you for your input. I didn’t think about the different personalities & trying to accommodate everyone. So I appreciate that.

Hi ok as my MOH'S were planning my bachelorette party/Bridal Shower weekend. At first on where it was my granddaughter she is 19 And couldn't go or get in any of the clubs that we would be going into because of her age.was coming but they were trying figure that part out. So I said that unfortunately couldn't not attend the more adultish bachelorette party because of decorations and hard drinking but bc of her age. She would only be able to attend the Bridal Shower, so she couldn't come so we just did all the things that they planned. So I will say the youngest 1 should be able to come to the bridal shower only bc of what the bachelorette party Intells. But if you wanted to do a little slumber party at a hotel for the ones that couldn't attend the other part of it. My bachelorette party weekend its is some of my family and my dearest friends now some couldn't not make it. I'm celebrating mines right now last part is later on today. Been at it since Friday

I would plan something at another time that would include them, like a lunch or something.

So my bridal shower & bachelorette are two very different weekends and in two very different months. So we will definitely be inviting the half sister and step sister in law to the bridal shower (100%) which is something they can go to. But honestly, everyone has convinced me that it’s better that I go do a staycation with those girls a different weekend since they are not invited to the bachelorette. Thank you for your input. I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of that out & I agree with you.
