Bachelorette Parties!...with a minor.?

Mylie, on September 3, 2020 at 9:54 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 19
Hi! So this is a question for me, but mostly my maid of honor. Have any of you had or had to plan a bachelorette party with a minor as one of the bridesmaids? What did you guys do, since it isn’t necessarily the “traditional” celebration??

Thanks!

We are actually planning on doing 2 celebrations. 1 with the minors and 1 without. The 1 with the minors we are going to go out and go play putt putt golf/laser tag/arcade games then go eat dinner and then back to our house for movies, face masks, and board games!

You could go bowling, go to the beach, hiking, horseback riding, plan a weekend getaway at an Airbnb, laser tag, axe throwing, escape room, etc.

Of course! We are trying to make it as fun as possible for everyone! For us the minors in our group is my FW's little sisters and they are so excited to do all of the wedding things that they have seen on tv/movies, so we are planning it all ourselves. I plan on getting shirts made for all of us and just having as much fun as we can with it!

My sister is the maid of honor and is also 20. At the time we planned the bach party, we were going to do a spa weekend and just be pampered all weekend. But since we postponed that, we may be able to incorporate more adult activities in addition to that haha.

I have 3 sisters under 21 in my wedding. We did a beach weekend for my bachelorette party. We went to the beach, boardwalk for rides, had a nice dinner together etc. Then one night my sisters hung out at our hotel while we went to some bars. They are high school and older though and could be left alone.

Yeah, she’s my future sister-in-law and so we wanna make sure she’s included and has a bunch of fun, so planning 2 is a smart idea!

I didn’t even think of a spa day, and if I’m real honest, by the end of all this, I’m gonna need one haha Thank you!

Haha for sure! That was kinda my thinking, even pre-COVID I was like I just want a break from wedding planning. Now I need a spa weekend to get a break from this year!

I didn’t have minors at mine but we did a really offbeat bachelorette. We went horseback trail riding and virtual reality gaming.

So my little sister is not yet 21 but over 18 so we are just going to be in our hotel room having fun with video games, board games, and food!! Its Sailor Moon themed and I can't wait!! There will be drinks and stuff but you know she can't drink or anything. So there are lots of other things to do than the typical party hard kind of thing for a bachelorette party! You can do games, go painting together, have a picnic, go get really yummy food, go to the park, go to a museum, or laser tag or ax throwing or bowling. There are plenty of activities that are now open to be able to still enjoy and have fun with minors in the BP.

We don't have any under 18 in our wedding party but my bridesmaids and I are all 20 so we won't have any alcohol at our party. (sorry FH lol) My FH and I are doing a joint bach party because I only have two bridesmaids and I'm super close with his groomsmen anyways. We are going roller skating and after playing games and stuff at our apartment with our wedding party and a couple of the groomsmen's girlfriends. It's going to be pretty low key with not too much raunchy humor lol (at least not until the guys leave to go home lmao...) But anyways you could totally go roller skating since thats a family friendly activity, and then go home and party with just the adults!

My brother (bride's man) and his wife (bridesmaid) were both under 21 at my bachelorette party. I also don't drink so we went out to dinner at my favorite Mexican place in town then bowling. We were originally going to do an escape room as well, but two of my bridesmaids were unable to make it so we didn't have enough people.

Oh my gosh, Sailor Moon themed! That’s amazing!! I appreciate all the ideas! It’s just nice to get opinions and options that I wouldn’t have thought of myself!! I’m also in a smaller town that has some of these options, so let’s just hope these will be open with little restriction!

I would’ve never thought of doing a joint party either! Because we too have a small bridal party, so that’s a thought!

It works out really well for us, because we cant trust our bridal party with making their own plans lol, plus my bridesmaids and FHs groomsmen dont know each other, so itll be a great meeting opportunity! And with FH and I both beimg introverts, we'd rather hang out with our closest friends than go out somewhere with a bunch of strangers!

We didn't have minors, but I don't drink, so my BP took me to Medieval Times. (If the dates had worked out, it would have been Ren Faire, but sadly, they did not.)

Still, we had a lot of fun, those who wanted to drink, could, but it was totally family friendly.

I have my niece who is 12 in my wedding and we decided to do 2 Bachelorette parties. We are going to have one for all the bridal party even the kids, we will be going to Dave n busters. I figured its a great place because they have games for my niece and they have the bar for the adults. My bridesmaids are throwing another one for me were it will be just 21 and older cause we will be going to the bars. Now original I was just going to do the one at Dave n busters but my bridesmaids insisted on throwing me another one for the adults only.
