Bachelorette Party and Bridal Shower Game and Themes

We did 2 truths and a lie at mine and we had a blast.

Oooh!

Details... I have never heard of that!

The girls had to come up with 2 true statements about themselves and one lie. I was (or the bride in general) supposed to guess what's a lie. But everybody ends up guessing. Obviously you try to mislead them :-) It works great when the girls really don't know each other, it's a great icebreaker.

At my showers, my bridesmaids and my aunt came up with some of the wackiest games! Here are a few ideas...

1.) Memory Game

When the guests arrived, each wrote a memory of me and/or my fiancé on a notecard. Then my MOH read the memories and I had to guess who wrote it.

2.)Pass the Cucumber

-Form two lines of people

-Using only your legs/knees, pass the cucumber from the back of the line to the front of the line (like a relay race). It was hysterical!

3.)Eat the cherry

-Bury 5 cherries in a plate of whipped cream. Whoever eats all the cherries first wins. (No hands!)

4.) Bridal Scavenger Hunt

-My bridesmaids took me to a crowded location and made me finish a list of task before I could leave. They had to document everything on film or it did not count. I had to ask an older gentleman to help me practice walking down the aisle, ask a cute guy to help me pay for my wedding, find 5 men and ask them to give me marriage advice, dance with a stranger, etc

For our bridal shower we are doing the clothespin game, word scramble, a " whos got it" ( random list of stuff with a point value and if you have it in your purse you get points) and a how well do you know the couple.

I had 2 showers. At both we did a word scramble and the purse game (you get points for having certain things in your purse, at one shower we played as individuals, at the other we played as groups). At one shower, we also played a game where we were given a list of TV couples and we had to write down the names of the husband and wife, whoever had the most right after a certain amount of time, won. We played a game where I went into another room and the guests had to list what I was wearing. We also played "How well does the bride know the groom" (MIL asked DH some questions and then guests had to write down how many they thought I would get right, then she asked me the same questions, I only missed 2).

At my other shower we also played a mystery bag game. We had 10 bags with household objects in them, stapled closed. Guests passed them around and tried to guess what was inside. We also played "the clothespin game" but we used plastic wedding rings from dollar tree instead.

I love these ideas... I think the purse game sounds great - I told my MOH i want that game...
