Bachelorette party at the same destination your friend had theirs?

Meghan, on February 19, 2021 at 10:11 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
I haven’t been able to find an answer to this question anywhere (probably because it’s ridiculous, I know) but when choosing a bachelorette party location, is it okay to choose a location that your friend already had there’s at? I have a friend who had their bachelorette party at a location two years ago and that’s perfect for me since it combines outdoor activities with a fair amount of partying. As a bride, would this annoy you? Would you feel like someone should choose their own location and not do the same thing you did? It’s also a fairly popular bachelorette destination if that makes a difference.

Just because your friend had her bach party there, doesn't mean you can't have yours there. Brides get ONE day, ONE bach trip, ONE experience, not claim over a spot so that their friends can't have theirs there.

If it's perfect for you and your bach trip, then have it there! As a bride, I wouldn't be annoyed one bit. Also, if it's a popular bach. trip destination, then that's even more reason to have it there since so many people enjoy it!

Totally agree! The former bride can’t stake claim over past festivities.

Go for it! I’m doing mine in the same city as 2 of my friends did previously. I wouldn’t plan the exact same itinerary and you’re fine (like pick different restaurants or daytime activities).

I don't see a problem with this at all! If anything I'd take it as a compliment that you thought it was fun and want to use the same place. If you're really worried, just make sure the exact same activities aren't planned so it doesn't seem like you're "copying" her. But honestly, just do whatever makes you happy. It's your bachelorette!

I think it would be fine. Just think about how so many people have bachelorette parties in Las Vegas.

I think you’re fine. If you think you’ll be worried about the location then maybe plan some different activities, eat at different spots.

I wouldn't even think twice about it. If your friend's bachelorette party was 2 weeks apart from yours and in the same location, that might be one thing. But 2 years? You're absolutely fine!

It’s completely fine. If she were to say anything at all about it, it just shows her low emotional intelligence. Have fun!!
