So my 6 bridesmaids had planned and booked my bachelorette party to Miami just under a year ago. Now 3 out of 6 girls can't make the trip on the weekend they planned, which is in a month. Now we are looking into cancelling the trip and starting over. I'm looking for ideas on where to go! We have to change it to August, so i'm thinking if it's going to be that hot out, I want to be on the beach. I am from New England and definitely want to fly somewhere (mainly because we now have flight credits from the cancelled trip). My fiance is going to Myrtle Beach so that is out. Where should we go if we want to keep the cost down? So far my thoughts are: all inclusive resort in Punta Cana... Charleston, SC... Wilmington, NC... Pensacola, FL... Santa Barbara, CA...

Has anyone been to any of these places? Are they so over-priced that I should knock them off the list? Are they fun bachelorette areas? Looking for beach and bars/clubs/dancing!

I've done a bachelorette (beachelorette, ha) to Amelia Island, FL, and we went out dancing in Jacksonville one night, and downtown A.I. the other night - there is more there than you'd think. Definitely some bars/dancing you could do there too. We had a great time there.

Agree that you should cross Santa Barbara off this list. It is an incredible city, and one of our happiest places on earth (we lived there for a couple years), but it is very expensive, especially during summer (high season). PP also made a great point about the small airport & expensive flights.

Even with flight credits, it sounds like you/your bridal party are planning a fairly extravagant bachelorette.... Given that 3/6 cancelled on previous plans, you may want to be sensitive to how attendees feel about the options/costs that are under consideration.

Punta Cana would be my pick. I was in a wedding there a few years back and I absolutely loved it! The cost for being international was inexpensive and I LOVED the all inclusive of it.

If you look at the price of all inclusive that includes your airfare, resort, drinks, food, transportation, etc...you might actually find that you save quite a bit of money instead of putting out for everything little thing here in the states (rental car, hotel, drinks, food, etc...) .

I'm sure wherever you ladies choose to go, you will have a marvelous time.
