Bachelor/ette party getting rained out! Help!

Pamela, on May 31, 2017 at 8:50 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

I just checked the weather and they are calling for a 90% chance of thunderstorms this Saturday! Our party consists of pontooning all day and camping. I'm devastated. Any suggestions on last minute party ideas? My MOH that planned it all is at work until this evening so I'm just trying to get ideas to help. TIA!

Has anyone been to a Bach party that got rained out? What did you wind up doing or how was it handled?

What city are you in? Can you call the pontoon facility and see what their rain/cancellation policy is?

What are you into? Bowling, mini golf, bar hopping, house party with games, could you look on Groupon for massages/classes/activities? Tour a brewery, take a cooking class... Let me know where you are and I'll try to be more helpful.

The party is in Fremont WI at the Triangle Campground on the Wolf River & Lake Poygan. I did check and the deposit is non-refundable but we will get to keep it towards a boat rental for anytime this season I guess. Those are some good suggestions though! I'll definitely pass those along!

I've done lots of rainy camping - as long as you have the right gear, you can still have a blast. As for the pontooning... weeeeelll, go with @WWJo on that one.

@SSJKarigan- true. With enough alcohol I could see the rain not being such a problem. Lol! Maybe we can get ponchos and possibly rent a bigger sized tent for everyone to be able to fit in for cards and games?

I'm from Appleton too! Paint and Wine places, College Ave. bar hopping, Madison has a trolley pub, breweries in Milwaukee, or go to the Wilderness Resort in the Dells where they have inside swimming places just in case its rained out, or Escape rooms.

Ah! What a small world! We live in Neenah actually! Those are some great suggestions! I really like the idea of a trolley pub!

Thats what my MOH is planning for me and I'm really excited! Theres also a piano bar in Madison that seems to be pretty popular too. Wolf River is always fun but looks like it will thunderstorm so thats really sucks!

I'm looking on Groupon in that area and seeing paint nights, wine tastings, glass blowing class, and of course loads of spas and restaurants.

I just thought of a fantastic idea for the rain!! A giant slip and slide! We already have the plastic too!
