Bachelorette Party ideas

Heather, on December 2, 2019 at 3:29 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
Hey everyone!!
I’m having a tough time figuring out what to do for a bachelorette party....I know, I’m not the only one. But here’s the thing, my lovely fiancé is switching jobs at the MOST convenient time (2-3 months before we wed) which includes us moving across states and starting new jobs altogether. I personally don’t need a Bach part but my friends and bridesmaids will not not let me have one. 10 years ago I was big into the party scene but now I can’t even come close to consuming the level of alcohol I once use to - I get too sick and the hangovers last for days now lol. Also, with age, I’ve become a little more introverted so I like to keep things fun but low key (not big on huge crowds). With all that being said, any ideas of what to do or what you did for your Bach party if you are more sober, introverted, and turned off by the phallic symbol?! (Seriously, the whole penis stuff plastered everywhere is not my thing :/). I don’t mind vineyards, outdoorsy stuff as I love to hike, camp, fish, ski, boat, etc. concerts, comedies (because I do love a good laugh), or anything else adventurous. I’m currently living outside of the twin cities in MN but will be moving to Pueblo, CO come March/ April. Any thoughts or suggestions?! I’d greatly appreciate it!

Nothing has actually been planned yet, but my MOH did ask what I wanted to do for my bachelorette party considering I'm in the same boat as you. I'm not a partier, I rarely ever drink, and clubs/bars are definitely not my scene. I told her I'd rather just have a night in with her and the rest of my bridal party. We'll probably go out to dinner then come home to play some games, watch some movies, and have loads of junk food (and maybe some wine lol). That's an ideal night for me! Smiley smile

Since you'll be living in CO, maybe you could suggest a hiking trip? Some other fun, but not quite as adventurous, options could be a sporting event, a paint and sip party, a spa day, dinner and a movie, an escape room, an arcade...

I will ALWAYS suggest a spa day bachelorette party. I'd so much rather spend money on something like that than boozing all day Smiley smile Agree with PP suggestion of hiking, maybe brewery/winery tours (more activity based and you get to try things, vs. just a party day).

Yes I love all your suggestions!! I’m definitely more of an activity-doer than sitting at a bar all day not remembering my party. I do enjoy the brew tours or winery tours too. I can at least sample the drinks but not indulge in booze all day. The spa day sounds like a great idea too! That never occurred to me but sounds relaxing!

I don't have anything exactly in the works because I have not had the chance to meet with my best friend to give her her maid of honor proposal box. I'm kind of like you where I'm not really into the party scene or nothing like that so I know I wouldn't want to go out to a club or nothing but something that I know I would appreciate it from some other Brides, especially ones that only do a bachelorette trip that involve money to travel and all that, is a variety of events. I'm thinking for me I would like to have a whole day and have a few different events because I'm in my late 30s and many of my friends have kids now and it might be hard for them to be away in the evening. I was thinking to maybe have a brunch that could be open to anyone something super informal and they just pay their own way then maybe afterwards with some close friends if they want to take a cooking class because that's something that I love to do and then a bachelorette dinner at night which for me I would like to keep that limited to certain people. I was even thinking to rent a hotel room at this spa resort hotel not far from my house and have my maid of honor and potential bridesmaid to stay the weekend with me and we going to have a little bit of girl time.
