Bachelorette Party Ideas

Charlotte, on November 14, 2019 at 8:12 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8
My MOH asked me if I had any ideas of what I would want to do for my party. I feel like she thinks we have to have a party where I get really drunk and that's not me?? What are some fun ideas for a party that don't involve alcohol? I feel bad but I just don't see myself having fun drinking all night

How about a paint night at a studio, comedy club, or a place like top golf where you can go bowling, mini golf, with other fun activities. Dinner out than desserts at a friend's playing cards against humanity.

Hi Charlotte! I agree on top golf or even hatchet throwing that is always a good time. One of friends who isn’t a big drinker is doing an adult sleep away camp where they do have alcohol as an option but also zip lining, yoga, water sports, and other stuff like that. They might have something similar like that in your area if that type of this interests you! Hope this helps!

I am also not a drinker and party person. My girls joked to have a stripper and I am not a fan of and they totally understand that as well. I gave them ideas of Paint night, pottery time, glass blowing, rock climbing, cruise, Vegas, Disney. Something that you enjoy doing.

There are tons of great non drinking ideas! Is there anything you’ve always wanted to do? I would think, “if I was planning my ultimate weekend, what would I want to do?”
You could rent an Airbnb pretty much anywhere. There are a ton of outdoor adventure type things you could do. If you want something more casual, a spa day or weekend would be great. Or even just explore a new city

Ha, I’m in a similar situation. FH’s sister (my MOH), keeps saying she’s going to get me to drink for my bachelorette (she also use to be a bartender). I keep telling her no because I don’t like the way alcohol smells and I just want to stay away from it all. But I have been thinking about going to one of those painting and drinking type places that way those who prefer to drink can. I’m still throwing ideas around lol.

I am not a big drinker either! I asked my MOH to plan a weekend beach getaway. 8 girls (including myself) are staying in an air bnb and plan to just lounge around the pool and beach all day. I live in the north east and my bachelorette party is in April so we had to make it a getaway otherwise it would still be cold here. I'm splitting the cost equally with the girls since they have to pay for travel which I know is not traditionally the case.

If you want to stay local and keep the costs down, I'm recommend doing a group brunch together. Girls who like to drink can still have a mimosa but it's definitely not the "shots!" atmosphere. Or you could do a spa day, I know some places will host bridal showers where everyone gets facials. Or you can get pedicures, just call ahead and reserve space for everyone. Or you can make it a combo of the two for a longer day, Brunch + Spa Day Bachelorette has a nice ring to it!

We're doing a sleepover, just like when we were kids! We're watching Bridesmaids and 27 Dresses and ordering pizza. I bought us all matching pajamas (it's a surprise for them!) and we're going to do makeovers and facials, and sing karaoke and just do fun girly stuff. We will have some alcohol like champagne for anyone who wants to have a little bubbly, but it's optional. We're just going to veg out and get pretty and take selfies. I think one of my ladies is going to rent us an AirBnB so that it feels more like a vacation but that will be the biggest expense (and it won't be a very big one once everyone splits it).

I can hardly wait! I know it sounds super cheesy but we're all over 30 and the other girls have kids and stuff. We're just not into partying like we used to be, and we're all trying to save money. Maybe this will help give you another idea of an alternative party!
