Bachelorette party in Mexico?

Danielle, on May 27, 2021 at 9:04 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 7
Looking for any kind of suggestions. We live in Florida and some of my bridal party live in NY. My sister (MOH) and I were talking about maybe an all inclusive somewhere. Possibly Mexico? For 4 nights or so. Does anyone have any places they have been or heard of? Looking to keep the cost budget friendly.

Not Mexico, but I spent four nights at an all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic that was fun and pretty cheap. It was in Puerta Plata, which is generally much cheaper than Punta Cana. It was called Lifestyles Resort.

Your best bet is to go to the Cheap Carribean website. You can set a budget for resort + airfare and they’ll make a list of suggestions. You can read the reviews for each resort on the booking page to see what the vibe is.

I'm not a fan of destination Bachelorettes. I dont think its fair to expect your bridal party to either pay an arm and a leg to go, or feel guilt for not going. If the bride or planner wants to foot the entire bill, that would be one thing- but thats never the case lol. I've never gone to any I've been invited to, and I dont plan to ever go to one. They're such a ridiculous Instagram-y trend.

4 days in Mexico sounds more appropriate for the actual wedding than a bachelorette. Rosarito has a bunch of cheap resorts, but you're probably looking for something on the east coast.

I live on the other side of the globe so I can't answer your questions but I think it is really important to first gauge with your girls what amount they're comfortable spending so that you can evaluate if this trip is doable, and if so, how long it will go for and what it will include.

I'm doing a 2 night getaway to our beautiful wine region (2 hour drive) and consulted my girls thoroughly before making any decisions so as to make sure that they were ok with the plans and the costs involved. Given you're looking at something that is more than a weekend trip and involves flying, I especially encourage you to first speak to the girls so you know if they can take that much time off for the trip and what the group's budget will get you.

Trip Advisor always has great recommendations. But if you're trying to be budget friendly, I would suggest something that doesn't require such far travel and for so long. Because even though Mexico itself can have great deals, the travel could be a burden for some.

If you haven't already, I would make sure your girls are comfortable with an international trip just for a bachelorette party. 5 days away from work and families is a lot to ask. Anyone I know who has attended a destination bachelorette attended begrudgingly and out of obligation, not because they were actually happy about it.

Perhaps something in between Florida and NY like Charleston or Nashville?
