Bachelorette Party is 90s themed. What do I wear?

My bachelorette party is coming up and it's 90s themed. I wasn't very fashion forward then, so all I know of were khaki pants and Gap linen trousers. (Should that go on Confession Friday??) So, the 90s. What do I wear? How about hair and makeup?

I'm guilty of crimped hair.. or tiny braids all over.. and so many other things I want to bleach from my memory Smiley laugh

(I was a teenager through most of the 90ies)

Granted, this is a little more late 90s/early 2000s, but I was one of those kids that wore the wide-leg jnco pants, baby doll tops, and flannels over top. I did either blue eyeliner or black rimmed eyes with pastel eye shadow. (Eyeliner the whole way around the inner rim of the eyes, natch.) And I was addicted to glitter. It was everywhere.

ETA: Also, jelly bracelets, the big-ball choker necklaces, and Vans or other skate shoes.

ETA2: I also rocked "space buns" a lot in high school. (I'm super stoked that they are making a comeback, even though I shouldn't be trying to wear them at my age!)

Sigh... another post that makes me feel old. I graduated from HS in 1993.

Anyway... early 90's were still shedding the 80's style but mid to late grunge was taking over so a lot of flannel, docs and baggy jeans. I did love a crop top though (with a flannel ... of course).

I didn't wear scrunchies in the 90''s either but I didn't wear my hair up usually so I could have missed that they were still popular....

I was a "rocker chick" so I just wore it long and straight.... sometimes braids.

Ooooh this is what I wore to a 90s concert! Complete with a scrunchie, choker, and a "grunge 90s" bff. That fanny pack was my best accessory purchase all year. Have a blast!

Funny how the flannel and the choker have both come back in style!

Thanks, everyone! I'll let you know what I go with. Definitely going to do the brownish lipstick with the lip liner. And some kind of crop top. Maybe I can borrow FH's jeans so they're baggy! ;-)

You could do a velour two piece suit and I definitely second the lip liner

@Amanda-the brown lipstick!! I totally rocked that!

@TacoCat-my hair was down, in braids, or a ballet bun.

I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet, but overalls. Crop top with overalls, one side undone and a flannel wrapped around the waist!

I used to wear wigwam socks in the 90s and alternate the colors when I wore them with the pants that had stirrups that went under the arch of your foot. I'm weird tho lol and I was young in the 90s. I was born in 83

Butterfly clips! Where am I going to find those? I'll check Walgreens and CVS. That's where I found my banana clip for the 80s karaoke party I threw a few years ago.

I have to say I am SO excited for this bachelorette party! I wonder if our song choices are going to be 90s too! Because I do a pretty good Alanis Morrissette, voice cracks and all.

I was born in 93, so I didn't really pay attention to the fashion of the 90s, but definitely take advantage of the opportunity to watch Clueless! Anything crop top, hip huggers, etc., butterfly clips, jelly sandals. I wish I was in high school in the 90s because the clothes were so cute!! A lot of 90s stuff is definitely coming back in right now which I love.

Yikes. I was an '82 baby, so I was middle/high school for most of the 90's.

I didn't do the butterfly clips, but I had the barrettes that had the wings on springs so they fluttered when you moved, in butterflies and dragonflies. Loved them.

Low cut jeans, Tommy Hilfiger was really popular, scrunchies (is it bad I still use them in my hair? Smiley xd ), crop tops or babydoll tees, shimmer powder makeup, and bright but not neon colors. Neons were the 80's. Think more Lisa Frank stuff.

Em, what?? The 90's aren't that long ago to have a theme party about it! Honesty, if you wear 90's clothes people will just think you are out of fashion!

Please tell me you're going to be singing all the 90s music at your party OP! I'm so jealous because that sounds like so much fun!
