Bachelorette party- not typical

Hannah, on July 18, 2017 at 12:13 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 34

I wanted to do something kinda different for a bachelorette party. It will just be me and my 3 BMs (I'm not super popular lol) one idea of mine was to go to a water park during the day and then dinner and drinks after. Another idea was one of those painting classes where they teach you to paint a picture and you drink wine. And then dinner. When I told my sister about the water park idea she laughed and thought I wasn't serious lol. What did you do for your bachelorette besides the typical bar hopping?

You're number of BM has nothing to do with popularity. You let your BM plan your bach. You can let her know you'd prefer not to go bar hopping. But, I think a water park and painting classes are good ideas. Bach parties can be anything.

Since my step sister and FSIL are both under 21 and i don't particularly care for bar hopping. we are doing dinner and then a bob ross inspired painting party at my MOH house.

It's dorky but I am stoked!

We went to a nice dinner, and then out bowling. We ended the night at a bar/restaurant near the bowling alley. It was a ton of fun, and we invited non bridal party members (I only had MOH) and everyone could come and afford it.

I've done the painting with a twist before. I think it would be great for a party. I haven't had mine yet, hoping for karaoke and yummy food.

I love paint nights! Those are the bomb. But it's ultimately what you think your girls would enjoy. Some prefer spa days, some prefer going outdoors, ect. I think the water park would be a blast, but you may want to think of the day you go. I'd say a day when kids are back in school (so mid week) so the park is emptier, but that may be difficult to pull off.

Mine was pedi/manis, lunch and then the winery and a bar after for snacks and drinks. Super fun- we acted silly and tooked random pictures of things we see daily. One of my sisters was a chair dance lesson (so fun and funny), dinner and comedy club and then another sister was a glass class ( like I designed a wine stopper), dinner and a dance club. All fun!!! Do what you want!!

We are doing a private karaoke room! I'm so excited. The place allows food so my sister is ordering the food and we'll get drinks there.

I love water parks, but like Mrs Fall bride said, I'm usually exhausted after. Plus the logistics of driving home, everyone showering and getting ready, etc. may not leave you much time to go out after.

I don't think I am having a bachelorette party. My sister and two niece's are my BMs. Niece's under 21 and all live in another state. I am an older bride so isn't a big deal. I think you should do whatever makes you happy, doesn't matter what it is. Have fun

I wanted to do low key for mine, my MOH is thinking if renting our fellowship building and doing a pajama party/sleepover Friday night to Saturday am.

That sounds like a lot of fun! Water parks are awesome, and those paint and sip things are also really fun!

I love the idea of making it different. I was in a wedding once that we took one of those stripper pole classes and then went to dinner for some drinks. It was a blast!
