Is a jack and Jill where people purchase tickets to attend your party? It's something I've never heard of until WW and I don't understand what they are.
A lot of people are now doing the bachelorette party and bachelor party combined and calling it Jack & Jill party.. I guess just a big outing all together.. I've never been to one but I heard its trending.
Mine is two nights before the wedding due to most of my closest friends living in different states. FH's is a little over a month before our wedding. I think Jack and Jill style could be fun, but for us we wanted to have separate bonding time with our friends.

My bachelorette is 5 weeks before the wedding. Since several people are traveling it was the best time that worked for everyone. I was definitely opposed to anything a week before the wedding. Jack and Jill could be fun, but I like having the opportunity to gave a mini vacay with all my closest friends and have some girl time.
Our wedding party wants to go to vegas so were doing 1st night all together girls and guys and 2nd night separate. Were trying to figure out the date and most of us dont like vegas winter weather so we want to do it a little sooner. Were thinking last week of sept and 1st week of october. Is that too early since the wedding is in december?
Oh, okay. Thanks for clearing that up, I was clueless. Most of the bachelorette parties I've attended have been two months before the wedding, but I think that was just to accommodate schedules. You can really do it whenever works best for you!
My FH and I always knew we would do a Jack and Jill. I really think it depends on your friends. For us, our friends overlap so much that it honestly doesn't make sense to have two. They would all want to go to both....
We are excited! We are going to start at a boys vs. girls laser tag game (his best man is my 13 year old brother, so underage!) and then we are going to split off from my brother and go to a barcade and then a drag show. It's probably lame compared to others but it's fun for us.
Nowadays you can do it whenever. I am probably doing it a month or two before, however some people do it the night before, two nights before, or a week before. Really whatever works for everyones schedule.
Mine is middle of June, and my girls and I are just going to do a girls day. Pretty sure my FH is going to do his the night before...but I am not positive.
I've attended several bachelorette parties that took place the night before the wedding. They are usually low key and relaxed, and typically get planned this way because the BMs and bride don't all live in the same area.
I think we are both going to do our bachelor and bachelorette parties the weekend of the wedding because every single member of our WP lives in a different state.
FH and myself just had ours. His bachelor party was in NJ which is where most of his friends are from. My ladies did my bachelorette last Friday and joined myself and family for my bridal shower Saturday hosted by my mom. FH and I chose to keep it separate. We have the rest of our lives to party together.
@jazz, no that's not too eRly. We did mine in March for my May wedding. We did both my shower and bachlorette the same weekend because of out of town bms. Made it a whole lot easier.
@OP, you can do it whenever. FHs bachelor party is two weeks before. FH did attend a bachelor party the night before the wedding once. It was super low key. Just wings, beer and bowling.
