Bachelorette party question?

Jordan, on April 2, 2019 at 2:51 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6

The plan for my bachelorette party was to go to an amusement park and ride roller coasters and drink a lot and maybe go to a winery or brewery. This was planned well in advanced. Booked our place back in May of 2018 and we are suppose to go April 2019. My MOH and I invited the girls back in like December so they could plan ahead to take off work and such. I have now found out that my MOH along with two other girls are pregnant. Therefore there are three of us that can drink (one of which really isn't a drinker) and ride rides and three that cannot. I was really looking forward to this trip but now I am a little bummed out. I really enjoy drinking and playing drinking games and was hoping to do all that. I was able to find park tickets at a discount so the three pregnant girls didn't have to spend a ton of money where they can't really do anything at the park. Any ideas on how to turn my mood around and make this more pregnant girl friendly but still fun for me as the bride?

That sounds like an awesome bachelorette! I love rides and drinking games! But I see your dilemma in trying to make it fun for all.... is there any other friends you can invite? Is everyone still willing to go? Maybe you can skip the winery/brewery and do the amusement park then dinner/something everyone can enjoy and go back to someone's house or a hotel for games.

You can go to an amusement park and still have fun without drinking. As for the pregnant girls, they can still go on easy rides while pregnant but it would also depend how far along they are and how close the park is bc I wouldn’t want them to be flying anywhere. My sister was pregnant for our other sister’s wedding and she still came to the bachelorette and went to the bars and had a good time, she just didn’t drink. It is possible to have a food time without booze.

Hmmm....what I am hearing is you now have 3 DDs, lol. So that is a bonus! I do see how an amusement park wouldn't be AS MUCH fun as originally planned, BUT it can still be fun. I don't ride roller coasters, and I have been preggo twice....I still enjoy going to the amusement parks to walk around. They can play games, eat lots of junk, and enjoy the day too.

I thought that sounded awesome, until the pregnancy part lol. I think it's kind of you to try and make it more accommodating for the pregnant friends. If you have your heart set on riding rides, I would still do that. Other friends can play games maybe. I'm sure they will be understand if you don't change every plan for them. Maybe instead of going out and drinking later you guys could just have snacks and play games for the evening. My moh is a few months pregnant. We had a winery tour scheduled for the bachelorette before she became pregnant. We're not changing and she is still coming. Although, I would totally be fine with her not coming, that's up to her. My situation is easier though because it is one person on a few hour wine tour and not an overnight trip.

Thanks ladies for reassuring me that it will still be fun despite the minor changes!

I agree with this! While it's different than the original plan I still don't think it's worse case scenario! Games and junk food sound bomb. Plus I would imagine a ferris wheel is safe to go on? More simple rides.

OP: Super cool to be able to get discounted tickets for the pregnant women. They can still go out to bars and drink mocktails. Plus as the bride, if you're getting super drunk and having a blast chances are they will find everything more humorous and fun! In addition, are there any other friends not in the bridal party who would love to come too who aren't pregnant? Haha
