Bachelorette Party Thank Yous

Allyson, on September 10, 2013 at 11:32 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

I had my bachelorette weekend this past weekend, and it was perfect! I'd like to send a thank you card to each person that attended, but I need some help with the wording. All of my bridesmaids flew to Scottsdale, AZ. While my matrons of honor planned a lot of the big things (and their cards will be easier), the bridesmaids chipped in for all of my meals and drinks and each one brought a gift. How do I thank them for the time and money they put into attending if they weren't the ones who planned it?

You have an awesome BP, so jealous!

I think a handwritten card would suffice, maybe a really pretty one and like a $10 gift cert to Starbucks?

I assume you'll be getting them gifts later on so you can really thank them then if you want to!

I think you should maybe wait to put all your thank you's for them when you give them their gifts before the wedding. That's what I plan to do.

If you prefer doing it now then maybe "Thank you for your time and helping me celebrate" something like that.

Is anyone getting your bachelorette attendees a small token of appreciation like a compact mirror, bubble bath, etc?

I made them all "survival bags" for my bachelorette party....and I'm writing them a super long thank you in with their wedding party gifts.

I took personalized tumblers / cups with me as a thank you gift. My matrons of honor made gift bags for everyone with personalized champagne glasses, personalized shot glasses, Advil, two shirts, pins, and "Team Bride" bracelets. I think I just want to send them each a nice note for now, so I'm trying to think of the wording.

I sent out thank you notes. I wrote something different for everyone. Mainly thanks for coming, I had a great time, looking forward to seeing you at the wedding, etc.

'Thank you so much for traveling the distance to celebrate with me as I am one step closer to becoming a Mrs! It means the world to me that you were there to celebrate in such a special occasion. I couldn't ask for a better friend!'

Wow your BP is awesome. I think a thank you card with a $10 gift card will suffice. And then additionally I would gift them at the wedding. But maybe something a little separate for the bachelorette since it was so gracious.

    How about

"I am truly blessed to have found such a wonderful and supportive friend like you. All that you did at my bach party was amazing and it is a night that I will never forget. My words could never express my full appreciation for your time, effort and support you have provided..."

Also try and include the I am so happy to know that I am going to have such a great friend by my side on my special day...

And PS - its great to hear about a good/outstanding BP for a change

So -- I just noticed your wedding date says 5/24/14 but your bachelorette party already happened? Am I missing something? Either way- you have amazing friends! :-)

No, you're not missing anything. We did it really early to accomodate my school schedule. My only other break will be around the holidays.

I gave my girls a manicure kit and a bottle of Essie nail polish for them to paint their nails and toes with for the wedding at the bach party. Mine was this weekend as well. They loved them!
