Bachelorette party the weekend before

Emily , on February 12, 2017 at 12:16 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

So the only day all of my maids and I can go out together is the weekend before my wedding. I'm a little hesitant because I'm afraid that I'll have a lot to do and that if I drink I'll break out for the next weekend. I never really noticed a correlation between me breaking out and drinking but I know it could be a big possibility. Just wondering if any of you ladies have had your bachelorette party the weekend before the wedding or if you have any input on this predicament!

I'm with you, drinking/staying up late usually isn't good for my skin. But if that's the only date you can all do it, I think you should still do it! You'll know in advance so that you can try to make sure any last-minute things are already taken care of, and just hydrate a lot and don't sleep in your makeup Smiley smile

Is your crowd really into the all-night blowout? Perhaps you could do something spa-ish or involving exercise, such as doing a pole dance/burlesque class.

@Emily Dancing/walking around will help burn off the booze and if you're really worried about breakouts, alternate alcoholic bevvies with glasses of water.

For zits, Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion is a lifesaver. https://www.mariobadescu.com/product/drying-lotion

My best friend had hers the night before her wedding. I was the MOH and that was the only time we could do it since everyone was from different states and the wedding was a DW in Cancun. We did a booze cruise and pole dancing at the resort and went to one of the nightclubs. She got married at 4 PM the next day. But I basically forced her to drink water every 5 minutes and even substituted some of her shots for flavored water. And I wiped all her makeup off before bed. It was tough but doable. I think the week before is fine if that's when people are available!

My bachelorette party is mid march, and my wedding is in June. I live out of state and don't have a lot of free weekends, especially in May & June. I think you should have it whenever works best for your bridesmaids and you!

Some of my girls won't be able to make it (ones in NY and she couldn't get off and the other is in the military so she'll be out of town that weekend. Another is in Chicago and she can't get off). I'm doing mine beginning of April and my wedding is in May. I say do it when you can.

I think you'll be fine, and I agree with everything @Kate said. Drink lots of water! And maybe don't drink the rest of the week.
