Bachelorette Party- what did you spend?!

Austyn, on September 2, 2019 at 1:40 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6
To the bridesmaids out there- I need your advice! What do you typically expect to spend on a bachelorette weekend? I've found some fairly reasonable VRBO's, I am just really unsure of what is "fair" to ask of them. We are staying 3 nights in Coeur D'Alene, ID and I found a house that will cost each girl about $140 total. Is this too much? Not enough? I really don't want to put any of them in a tough financial situation, but I want to be able to do all of the fun things

You need to ask each bridesmaid what they're comfortable spending for the bachelorette party first then you determine where you go and what to do based on that information. Also, if the bride wants to go to a specific location that requires accommodations and/or flights then she would be expected to pay for herself.

I agree with pp. for mine I wanted To go to Disneyland and so I as the bride are paying for myself. I would ask like pp said and expect that if it is a weekend everyone may not be able to come with.

Ask the bridesmaids for sure, but I will say that's not too much in my mind. I think I spent over that for an apartment in OCMD (maybe 160-175 per girl) for my friend's bachelorette!

I've only been to one bach party not including mine. I paid $150 for hotel & cabana rental then buying meals/drinks/etc. so probably another $150 on top of that (not including my flight & rental car). Then I bought a shirt for $15. I think my bridesmaids each spent around $300 on my bachelorette weekend. The house was around $110 each but they did other things. My MOH consulted all budgets prior.

You need to ask invitees individually what their budget is before you plan anything. If they can't afford a weekend away, maybe you have to adjust your plans. Don't just book something and then tell them what they owe - that's super unfair and everyone's budgets are different.
