Bachelorette Party

Genevieve, on May 9, 2019 at 11:31 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 12

I posted something similar for my bridal shower. Would it be weird to have my bachlorette party 5-6 months prior to the wedding. I would like to have a pool or beach present and since I am getting married in March 1-4 weeks prior wouldn't be ideal for Nashville (where I'd really like to goSmiley sexy ) TIASmiley heart

Not weird, just a little different than the normal. I may be doing mine sooner vs later also but I’m not sure yet.

Not following a set timeline definitely doesn’t make it weird! You should have the bachelorette party exactly how you want it whenever you want.

No, I don't think so! My bachelorette was May 3, our wedding is July 20. So not SUPER early, but it just worked for where we wanted to go & the weather.

I never really thought there is a "timeline" for when you can have a bachelorette or bridal shower for that matter haha. I mean I wouldn't have a bridal shower a year before a wedding haha. But 5 months sounds like nbd. I only chose one month before my wedding for my bachelorette because one of my bridesmaid's is a mom and in October the baby will be 1 year old. So I thought it was kinder and she'd be more on board to go to Vegas from the east coast later rather than sooner.

Exactly, since mine has colder months before it I wanted to make it earlier to go somewhere nearby and make it more accommodating for the bridal party.

We are doing Vegas at the end of June for my November wedding. 2 of the girls are teachers so we aimed for summer to make it easier for them. Also, its a bit cheaper in the dead nuts center of summer. My softball team also wants to plan a night out for me closer to the wedding so I'll still kind of get a bach party on the more "standard" timeline.
