Bachelorette party

Haylea, on July 24, 2022 at 10:28 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
My MOH is a working mom with two young kids so I am planning my own bachelorette party. However, after having my own child I feel like I’ve lost myself a bit and have no idea what I would want to do. Could you please give me some ideas as to what you did or are doing?

For me personally I didn’t want anything too wild but I also wanted something fun and memorable so my bachelorette took the form of a weekend away in wine country. There were 10 of us in total staying 2 nights at an AirBnB which was about a 2 hour drive away. We arrived on Friday afternoon, spent the night out on the town, and then on Saturday we had a full day of wine tastings followed up with burgers and a games night. We ended the weekend with a big Sunday breakfast before everyone went home.

I asked everyone in advance if it would suit their budget and schedule and in the end it only cost around $250 pp (plus some ad hoc expenses I covered) and everyone had a really great time.

My dream bachelorette party would be a nice dinner and then out to a local bar to dance and then go home the same night!

I told my bridesmaids that I wanted to do dinner, and escape room, and a haunted house ( I love Halloween). I have been told that I am getting 2 of the 3 (I suspect the haunted house is out) and to plan for whatever they have planned to take most of the day and that night. I know the date and that about it lol.

I honestly feel like you can never go wrong with a game night! Maybe Taboo, Family Feud & make them into wedding themes. They have other games you all can play as well. Also some food and good music.

All of my ladies were out of state, so we went and had ours nails done the day before the wedding - they brought cookies and wine (and penis straws, because of course lol). It was low-key, but it was really fun.

Are you more inclined to do a night out with drinks, dancing, strippers, etc.? Or something more low-key like a spa day where you and your crew get massages and pedicures? You can always do something different like an escape room, wine and paint, hiking, or any other activity you enjoy as well!

I would keep it simple, and within the budget of everyone involved. Usually brides don't organize the bachelorette in their own honour, is there anyone hosting this for you? Perhaps they could poll the others for ideas.
