Bachelorette party

Mercedes, on September 24, 2019 at 10:11 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 16
Hello,
My girls and I are going to Vegas for my Bachelorette party but I have some concerns about costs. My wedding is in August 2020 and we were hoping to plan a trip to Vegas early July 2020. However, the flights look very expensive right now for next July. I was looking at the months and it seems to be cheaper to fly out in April 2020, and this would save a lot of money for everyone. Is it too early for a bachelorette party in April when my wedding isn't until August?

Not at all! In fact your bridesmaids might appreciate spacing flights and costs (though make sure to check with them about budget.) I'm getting married next month. My bachelorette was at the beginning of August, and my fiance had his bachelor party Memorial Day weekend because that's what worked for his groomsmen. That said, domestic flights are usually less expensive about 8-10 weeks before.

My bachelorette is planned for the last weekend in June, we’re going to Miami! My wedding is in October, it helps everyone to space out the costs for paying for the weekend and also attending our wedding! I think everyone will appreciate it!

If you haven't done this already, check out www.vegas.com. They have some really awesome deals, and you can get even better deals with their bundles/packages (flight/hotel together). Also, if you're just looking for flights, Spirit Airlines often has good deals to Vegas.

I don't think April is too early at all for a bachelorette party! The other bonus is that it's not as hot in Vegas in April as it is in July, so that could be a really good thing!! My last trip there I went in April, and it was beautiful!!

No, I like spacing it out so the bridesmaids don't spend a ton of money right before the wedding. My bachelorette was in May for our July wedding.

I'll be doing my bachelorette party in mid June for a November wedding. My grandparents are letting me use their timeshare so it'll cut costs way down for us. I always use apps like Hopper and Skyscanner to compare prices of flights. You put in where you want to go, where you're leaving from, and when you want to go and the app will send you notifications about when a good time to book is.

Not at all. You should do what works best for everyone.

Also, check out the app "Hopper". You can watch a specific flight and it gives advice on when to book and if the price will increase or decrease.

    Have fun in Vegas!

I agree with everyone else that April sounds fine. One more Vegas tip, double check pool season, especially if you’re hoping to go to any of the pool parties from memory they “should” be open by April but I remember when I was planning my sister’s bachelorette to Vegas there were times of year when they hadn’t opened the pools yet, Hotel dependant. Butter to check than find out latter and be disappointed.

Not at all! My fiance did his bachelor party in Vegas in March because of the Vegas hockey schedule and our wedding wasn't until September. my friend also did her bachelorette in early march for her August wedding because she wanted to go somewhere warm while it was cold where we live. Especially with a destination I think you can do it whenever it works out best for you and the people going.

Definitely not too early. I think you and the ladies will also have more fun in April vs July because of how hot it gets. We had our wedding in Vegas last year late Oct and the night before me and some of my friends had a bachelorette party doing a party bus tour. It was AMAZING. We got to go to the front of the line for several bars that had pretty long lines and get an awesome tour with pictures in front of the Vegas sign.

Don't know why it loads sideways lol

Vegas is one of the MOST expensive places I’ve ever been to....flight costs are the least of your worries. Good luck!

My wedding is 4/25/20 and we are doing my bach party the weekend of Nov. 1st! I have had several people tell me it was too early, but all my bridesmaids were on board. There is the holidays, and the expense of the wedding/honeymoon, and I take a trip in Feb. for a church conference, plus bridal shower, I felt like that was too much in a short period of time. Not even just on a financial level. I get very stressed and exhausted easily and worried it would be too much.
My MOH told me the most helpful thing, so I will say it to you,

"YOU'RE THE BRIDE. YOU GET TO DO THINGS HOWEVER YOU WANT. EVERY BRIDE IS DIFFERENT, AND EVERY SITUATION IS DIFFERENT. DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU."

I repeat this to myself far more than one should LOL.

I hope this all helps, happy planning Smiley smile

Yes, it is too early for a bachelorette. But it is not a bad time to vacation for several days with friends. Plan one with some close friends and family. If not a bachelorette, there is an added plus, you do not have to limit it to people coming to your wedding. And do not expect them to treat you.
A bachelorette party is traditionally one close to the wedding, a last outing with friends from your single years. 4 months ahead is too soon. Plan a vacation with a group in April or other cooler, nicer, early spring month. And let your friends treat you to an evening or afternoon bach party close to the wedding.
