Bachelorette party

on November 16, 2020 at 12:57 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
Did anyone have underage kids in their bridal party, if so what did you do for your bachelorette party? I have 2 cousins, one will be 15 and one will be 12 at the time of my wedding. I made them bridesmaids because I’m super close with them, but now I don’t know how I should handle the bachelorette party. I want to include them, so I guess I’m asking for ideas and suggestions for what we could do.

I did! My 16 year old sister was one of my bridesmaids.

We did vegas and she came for the first half. Basically a nice dinner on night one and just hanging out at the hotel rooms with everyone. Then on night two, we went to brunch, hung out at the pool, then went to a nice dinner and show. She and my mom flew home after that.
The next day the rest of the girls and I did more “adult” things— we got a table/bottle service at a day club and then again at a night club. We also got to gamble a bit that night. Then we all flew home the next day.

Thank you! I’ll suggest to my MOH, because she was having so much trouble of thinking of something.

There's a lot you could do (assuming none of these are impacted by COVID)! Go to the beach, horseback riding, laser tag, setup a scavenger hunt, hang out at a hotel/resort, spa day, etc.

Thank you guys these are all awesome suggestions. The wedding isn’t for a while so hopefully Covid restrictions will be lifted and there will be a vaccine available for when she plans it!

My sister in law had a minor in her bridal party and what we did was actually REALLY fun. Her maids of honor made everyone little goody bags so the adults got those small bottles of wine and the minor got some of her favorite drinks. They rented a limo that provided champagne and sparkling juice so we could all drink and toast and she didn’t feel left out. The limo took us to a nice dinner and murder mystery. We were able to drink there while still including her and we had a really good time. We didn’t go out after that because the murder mystery was actually a late night thing, but you could always do a dinner and/or activity for under 21 then continue on to over 21 events after.
My other friend did something a little different too, she didn’t have any minors but didn’t want to do the usual go out drinking style party, so we did a joint bachelor/bachelorette, went to dinner, then went bowling and played laser tag, bride vs. groom style. That would of course only work if you wanted to do something joint, but activities like that are good for everyone because you don’t have to drink but places like those often have a bar for those people who would like to.

I'm not 21 yet and neither is my bridesmaid, and due to other factors as well we decided to do a joint bach party with my FH and his groomsmen. We are going roller skating! We will have pizza and soda and fun music. That or like an arcade or spa day is something all ages can enjoy, without the expectation of alcohol!

My brother and his wife were both in my wedding and under 21. I also don't drink so I didn't care about having alcohol for my bachelorette party. We went to dinner, hung out for a bit at my sister's house (she was maid of honor) then went bowling. Originally, we were going to do an escape room, but two of my bridesmaids couldn't make it so there wasn't enough of us for the escape room.

One of my bridesmaids was 17, but everyone knew that going into the party so there were no activities planned that would automatically exclude her. Most of my friends don't drink much anyways, so limiting alcohol wasn't a big deal for us. We went to a painting place, ate dinner, and went to an outdoor sports hangout place.
