So some of you saw my post about my brother (along with BM) planning my bachelorette. So some of you saw my post about my brother (along with BM) planning my bachelorette. I was planning for it to be coed so some of my good guy friends and my brother can attend with a few of my girlfriends (mostly one big group of friends). None of these people are a couple (with each other) but my BM (not naturally part of this group because it’s friends from different Cities) has decided she wants to bring her boyfriend on the trip. You’ll see from the attached texts - My brother tried to politely suggest that significant others aren’t really gonna be part of the mix but she doesn’t seem to take no for an answer.... how would you tell her ? 🙄😩😳

I don't see why it's a big deal if it's just a group of friends hanging out, honestly. Why not let people have dates? New friends, right?

I get both sides, but still believe - especially now knowing this girl has only been seeing this guy for a month and you don't know him at all - that you should tell her no to bringing him. I don't get people that feel like they can't travel or go to events without their SO. If she truly feels uncomfortable going, then she can decline. You don't to allow strangers to come to your bachelorette party just to appease everyone.

Take into consideration as well that if you allow this girl to bring her SO then you'll have to allow everyone to bring their SOs - and there goes your small close-friend group.
