Bachelorette Theme!

Jessica, on January 23, 2020 at 10:25 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 16

Hello everyone! I am starting to plan more things for my wedding and the bachelorette party is on my mind. I'm not the typical girly girl who wears make up and dresses up all the time( I don't even know if foundation or concealer comes first). I like to do out of the box ideas but for some reason can't come up with a good idea for a theme for the bachelorette party. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Bachelorette parties should be thrown by someone other than the bride. Whoever hosts the party will decide on the theme.

My bachelorette party was full of penises including straws, a cake, alcohol soaked gummies, confetti, and more. It was a pure romance party at a friends house and we all got drunk and had a big sleepover. I didn't even have to put on make up or do something fancy with my hair. Bachelorette Theme! 1

I would say you communicate what you want but I know some brides that organize their own bachelorettes or plan with their wedding party. I would communicate what you want but it does not have to be where you dress up. What would you like to do?

I'm definitely going to be planning with the bridesmaids, i just am not sure how the things I like can work together because they're all over the board.

I am hoping to give my matron of honor ideas, but I am not sure if the things I like will go well together. We're planning on getting married in the mountains, but have a rustic theme going on.

Yeah. I just spoke to my friend who got married last year and she told her bridal party what she wanted to do which was go to San Francisco but she left some of the planning up to them. So I feel you can look up some things and you can also contribute. I know I want to stay in a hotel or Air bnb so I will pay for that and I will probably leave it to my MOH but she even wants me to tell her because she does not plan these things lol.

I think we had about 10 girls total. I was given no details of the evening just dropped off somewhere and was told to have fun lol.

That’s me as well lol! I gave my MOH some ideas: paint night, camping, a night in a hotel and bottles of rum, winery tour, tipsy ghost tour, etc. now all I know is the date and the state. And that I can’t wear white or a dress 🤷🏻‍♀️

That is what I plan to do for that and my bridal brunch. My MOH will need help and even asked but said she will host so I am happy to give her tips and decide from there what she wants to do.

Oh no, I would be so worried about everything. I like having control over everything that is happening.

Your bachelorette party doesn't need a theme, nor does it need to match or relate to your wedding location or aesthetic. Of course the activities planned at the bachelorette (whomever is planning it) should take your preferences into account, but these are your friends who know you. I would give them the gift of trust and know that you will have fun hanging out with them no matter what.

I see that you said you, "like having control over everything that is happening," but that really isn't a reasonable or fair expectation to put onto your friends. Practice letting go; the stakes are so low (since a bachelorette is just for fun) that whatever they do or don't plan will be fine.
