Bachelorette Weekend/day ideas

Sarah, on January 15, 2020 at 7:24 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 4

I'm looking for non traditional Bachelorette Party ideas. I've done the Vegas thing with friends (it was fund to do once, but it's not my thing). I do love to travel and thought Austin or Nashville would be a fun girls weekend (I love country music). BUT my bridesmaids live in 3 different states (WA, CA, PA and myself in ID) and travel costs for the wedding will already be high for half of them. I feel so guilty doing a weekend getaway that costs a lot, but I have done it for friends in the past and it is my special time after all. I had thought about using a family member's cabin, but we are now hosting the wedding there so I want to do it else where. I love staying in unusual/cool Airbnbs.

Any and all ideas are welcome!

Thanks!, Sarah

I would honestly text them and ask them honestly would they be able to fund going because if they are also paying to travel to your wedding then they may not be able to do both. Maybe there is a state that is in the middle and convenient for all? I would say if traveling look up walking tours, visit a winery or do a cooking class at the air bnb maybe have an adult slumber party and watch a chick flick and eat and drink.

We are doing Scottsdale because it's an easy place to access from California, Florida, Texas and me in Virginia.

Depends on when you’re going and what you want to do. Big drinkers, hang out, etc? Fly to Chicago and drive about an hour to 90 minutes to Michigan and wine country. There are loads of cute wineries and some distilleries too. Lake Michigan is beautiful except in winter. There’s casinos too. My fiancé and I stayed at bnb called Goldberry Woods in a union a Pier that each room had really cool beds made with real trees.

We are just spending the weekend at a resort up North! I have the benefit of all of us living in the same state, but you could look for a middle ground maybe?

I would ask your bridal party if they would want to get together and then ask what their budget is so you know to stick to that! Could be something as simple as a spa day!
