So I have moderate back acne. I've been pretty routine with scrubbing with an ance wash every time I shower, pretty much since I've been engaged. My dress is open back and having a dress with an open back was important to me, so I knew I'd have to crack down on clearing it up. It's been pretty bad...
So I have moderate back acne. I've been pretty routine with scrubbing with an ance wash every time I shower, pretty much since I've been engaged. My dress is open back and having a dress with an open back was important to me, so I knew I'd have to crack down on clearing it up. It's been pretty bad for a few years now, and I know eating a healthier diet would probably help, but I'm looking for a really really really great acne wash. I do not want to have to apply make up to my back on the big day, cause then it gets on the dress, them it might get on my grooms suit, etc. What are some great products for ance??? So far I've tried Oxy, and clearasil.

For me the thing that has helped most was this soap called Aspen Kay naturals Dead Sea mud and Charcoal. I got it from Amazon and it really cleared up my skin.

Nothing geared towards acne ever worked for me on my shoulders. I tried African black soap as well as taking a probiotic daily, and those worked. I have a friend who did the 21 day cleanse from HUM Nutrition before her wedding and she had more acne the first week or so and then is mostly went away by the end. I also don’t have nearly as much acne anywhere anymore since I’ve switched birth control methods.

Try ivory soap! It’s like 4$ at Walmart. What I do is apply the ivory soap and then exfoliate Smiley smile

Does using a long loofah with a handle count as exfoliating?

I've heard that Shea Moisture brand African Black Soap is good. You can find it at Target or Walmart.

Do you always use acne wash, or is this something you just started since your engagement? What did you do before? I'm not sure if this works for everyone, or if I'm just lucky.....but for me I just use warm water & a clean wash cloth. No soap, no special cream. And I've never had a problem with acne (my face). Uncertain if that approach would work for the body though. Worth a shot if nothing else works! Good luck, your dress is beautiful and I don't think anyone will be paying attention to the minor skin imperfections. Oh, maybe a good "steam" room would help open up the pores too?

I would most of the time, just when I showered. But now I've made it a point to do it a lot more. My face is clear, no acne, just some redness from having sensitive skin. I've also made it a point to wash my bras more often. I try not to wear them more than twice before washing them.

I second this! Proactive's body wash has really helped my back acne and the occasional check acne that pops up in the summer!

Can you afford to get back facials? They really help me with my face, and I know they offer them for chest & back. I use Curology, it's personalized for you, I'd look into it! My fiance also has a back loofah he uses everyday. For me, every time I sweat or have lotion on my back, I wash it immediately after in the shower. I also wash our sheets every week and never wear a shirt I've already worn to bed. I'm not sure if it's the same (but I assume it is), but for my face I use a cleanser & toner & exfoliant so a mixture of those might help.

I have this same issue! it's not horrible, but it can flare up and I'm nervous about it happing on the day of the wedding.

I started taking The Beauty Chef products (it's only been a week, but I've noticed my skin is less irritated).

Aside from that, I started wearing a clean sleep shirt each night to bed and always using a brand new towel after I shower. If you can, change/wash your bra as much as possible as it can rub and cause more irritation. I find that keeping anything that touches my skin clean really helps keep bacteria away.

I also use witch hazel (rose petal) on my back/chest each night and morning to keep the dirt away.

I hope this helps! best of luck Smiley smile
