I was going to write out all the details of the day and all of the hiccups leading up to it, but I decided that right now, I'd rather just savor everything I loved about it instead. I'll save the full breakdown for another day, but for a brief summary: we got married in Maui at the White Orchid Beach House on 5/2/2019. It rained (a lot), but the sun came out just in time for a beautiful sunset. The day was beautiful, romantic, and certainly memorable, but definitely different than what I pictured! But at the end of the day, I'm (finally) happily married to the love of my life. We just got our photos and video back, so I hope it's not taboo to share both in the same post!

Thank you! There are several different songs used in the video. It starts out with "Best of Me" by Secret Nation (I think it's an acoustic version), then "Lucky Day" by Dustin Paul, then "She Sets Me Free" by Tim Halperin, and ends with "When I'm With You" by Ben Rector.

Thank you! I've always loved details - I used to get bogged down on school projects as a kid because I got too detailed on them! (Like the time I decided to build an entire zoo with the fences out of toothpicks....*facepalm*) But they do make for a lot of fun
You're exactly right. At the end of the day, the rain didn't matter, the hiccups didn't matter - what mattered is that my husband was there, and we got married, and that he loves me no matter what. Everything else was just icing on the cake.

Awww thank you! Yes, I love love loved my photographer and videographer. They were actually the first vendors we reached out to - literally the weekend after we got engaged, before we even picked a date! I love hearing that you loved them too!

Thank you! We really loved our videographers and photographer. If anyone gets married in Hawaii, I absolutely recommend Hi Focused Cinematography and Maui Creative Photography! They are masters of their craft!

Ohhhh you absolutely should! We actually did a photo session a couple days after the wedding with another photographer I really loved, and I am SO glad we did! The photos are completely unique from our wedding photos, and we absolutely love them! It's a really special keepsake from our honeymoon (we actually were still on our honeymoon when we got them back - our photographers were super fast), and we were SO relaxed because it was a chance for it to be just us together - no formality, no responsibilities, wedding craziness. Just love.
