Back from my bachelorette party!

Sarahdell, on September 22, 2014 at 8:16 AM Posted in Community Conversations 1 15

I had so much fun! We were limited on some of the things we could do because one of my bridesmaids (FSIL) is only 17. I am not huge into the bar scene anyway so it worked out well. My sister (MOH) and bridesmaids planned the whole thing as a surprise for me which was a lot of fun. I would totally recommend having it be a surprise if you have the option. I live out of the way of my friends and family so I drove half an hour to a carpool lot where some of my girls picked me up before we headed toward Green Bay (the nearest city) for our girls night. I was waiting in the carpool lot when my sister and one of my bridesmaids pulled up in my sister’s car all decked out for the weekend.

From there, we drove to Green Bay where we met up with the other girls and checked into our hotel. My girls put together little gifts baskets for everyone which included a reusable cup with our initial painted on it, a shirt, an awesome nail file, wedding color nail polish, a masque, Mentos and a ring-pop. Our shirts were amazing and perfect! My shirt said “Yes!” while all of the others said “That’s What She Said!”.

Our first activity was a scavenger hunt. My sister had us divided in two teams and gave us each a checklist and a rule list. Some were photo tasks and some were purchase/find tasks. She equipped each team with a $30 prepaid Visa for the buy tasks and were instructed to spend wisely because if you went over the $30 you couldn’t purchase anything out of pocket for the game.

    Some of the tasks were:

Find and purchase a cheesy romance novel

Take a picture of your team wearing the highest heels you can find

Take a picture of a man with large biceps flexing

    Purchase KY Yours and Mine

Take a picture of a teammate modeling a wedding dress

Purchase a funny wedding greeting card

Get a provocative picture of someone at the bachelor party (which was going on at the same time)

Buy a sexy piece of lingerie

The teams saw each other at the mall during the hunt and stopped for a photo

All of the photos had to be printed to get credit for the task and the teams ran into each other at Walgreens scrambling to get pictures 10 minutes for the rendezvous at Texas Roadhouse.

We made it under the time limit and were able to get seated at the bar where we had tasty margaritas (one of them virgin) and delicious food before they made me sit on the saddle and give a “yee-haw!” to a packed restaurant.

After we ate we returned to the hotel where we ate cake, I opened gifts and we went swimming. One of my girls made the penis cake. In case it’s hard to read, it says “To Have and To Hold”. So clever! I received some wonderful gifts including 50 Shades of Play (can’t wait to see what that’s all about!), a VS gift card, and lingerie with a strategically placed penis-shaped towel. My bridesmaids are amazing!

Later we played Pin the Junk on the Hunk and Telestrations while having drinks and listening to an amazing 90s playlist my sister made (think Spice Girls and TLC). I had an amazing night!

Omg, this sounds like the most fun bachelorette party out of any I've heard of! Sounds like your girls spent a lot of time on it. The scavenger hunt sounds like the best idea, I want to do that!! Haha!
