Back Jewelry

Hello! I went for my 2nd alterations appointment yesterday which went well considering my last appointment was almost 2 years ago! I understand that the dress needs to be tight so it does not fall down. I also know that if you have someone smooth out the back then there would be no back cleavage which they demonstrated. However, I do not want to burden my bridal party with that task. I also do not want to wear a veil or lower the back since the ceremony is in a church. Anyone know what would be simple in front since it is so embellished, yet at the same time cover up some of the upper back? I prefer jewelry, but would take suggestions for shawls as well. Our theme is art deco 1920s. Thanks in advance!

    It shouldn't be an undue "burden" on your bridal party to smooth your back down. Whoever helps zip your dress should be able to do it with next to no trouble. As far as jewelry - I would check etsy for back jewelry (but I have no specific recommendations). I will say if you have jewelry on your back and you haven't been smoothed out, so to speak, it's just going to draw attention to any amount of back cleavage you have.

    I agree that it shouldn't be too much for your bridal party, but if you're self-conscious, I'd go for something like these that I found on etsy:

    Your dress is very pretty, but it's simply too tight... Just get it fitted properly. If it falls down (it shouldn't if your seamstress does her job right, but it happens) then have some straps installed. I agree that if you wear something to cover your back, you will only draw attention to it.

    Thanks for the feedback! I did buy one of the pearl body chains since I noticed there were tan lines as well! I still have a final fitting so I will mot leave until it fits perfectly! I just was not sure if it was a common occurence or not for strapless wedding dresses.

    Thanks Rosy! I did end up buying a pearl chain. I also know that they said the final appointment could take the whole day so I will not leave until it fits perfectly! Based on reviews they do live up to their name.
