I would LOVE a backyard wedding, but my FH's yard and mine are either too hilly/sloped or there's not enough space. How did y'all work with hills or pools in the backyard? Did anyone use ~someone else's backyard?~

    I am with M on this one. Our aunt offered her home. You have to rent EVERYTHING! It is a huge undertaking and not cheaper than a normal venue. We did all set up and tear down ourselves and it was a huge feat. It was beautiful but I would not do it again.

    @Kadey I think it's perceived as cheaper because it's assumed that a backyard wedding is going to be very small and casual, which is not always a bride's vision.
