Bags under your eyes?

Jamie Lynn, on February 4, 2017 at 10:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 20

I kinda feel dumb for asking this because I feel like it's probably common knowledge but.. What are some tips to get rid of puffy eyes and bags? I'm so nervous about waking up the morning of the wedding, looking tired!

Cucumber slices that morning with a little relaxation can help! There are also great under eye creams out there. Your makeup artist will also likely use an amazing under eye concealer.

I also have this problem. Coffee grounds (already brewed) have worked for me. Just rub them under your eyes for about 15 mins. You can actually feel it working.

Times when I get no sleep and need to get rid of the bags I put an ice cube in a plastic baggy and hold it under my eyes. Works like a charm

Anything cool/cold helps, as does caffeine and some light pressure. That's why people recommend cooled damp tea bags. There are also under-eye rollers with caffeine you can buy. Garnier, maybe?

Preparation H. That is correct ...

I worked in the commercial industry for 10 years. The models/actors/actresses have it in their emergency kit bag. It works.

Use up to 2 nights before the big day then the morning of rinse your face in a big bowl of ice water.

I've heard caffeine works. You can make a coffee oil by soaking coffee grounds in coconut oil and rubbing below your eyes or tea bags work.

Black tea bags steeped until room temp. Squeeze out excess water & place on closed eyes for ten minutes. Works awesome!

Echoing the black tea bags and cucumber tips. One thing about Preparation H: If you decide to go that route, go online and get said hemorrhoid cream from Canada. Apparently the US formulation that's been in use for the past 15 years or so no longer uses the same anti-wrinkle chemical.

I use an eye cream from Clinique called All About Eyes.

I started using a new eyeliner and was allergic to it, causing redness, itchiness and puffiness. I started using the eye cream, and within a day or two the puffiness was gone. I've continued to use it to keep the skin hydrated during the winter.

Just saw this on Martha Stewart Weddings and thought of this thread. I also know the writer via a friend of a friend: http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/606700/treat-dark-circles-puffy-eyes-before-wedding

I've used a cold spoon in the past. I also just rewatched The Help and in the movie, one of the girls said Crisco is good for bags under the eyes! Lol. I'm not sure if that's actually true or not.

I would highly recommend DermalMD Under eye circles Serum especially on sensitive skin. I had severely dry eyes and it worked to clear within two days. A must buy!
