Bahamas/Jamaica or Mexico?

Hi ladies! DH and I STILL haven't come any closer to making a decision on where to honeymoon. We want warm, tropical and relaxing. I'd never considered Mexico, because of safety issues, but my sister and her husband visit a couple of times a year and love it. If any of you have been to one or any of these places, which would you recommend? If we decide on Jamaica we will stay at Sandals Grande Riviera. If we go to the Bahamas or Mexico we have no clue where to stay. Especially with Mexico, there are so many different areas. Anyone have any personal recommendations?

Does it have to be an out-of-the-country beach venue? If you're going to be concerned with flying/being away from your kids, etc., maybe it would be simpler to plan a stateside honeymoon. I bet the brides on this forum could suggest some lovely US resort areas that offer all-inclusive packages.

In October I would recommend the Bahamas or Mexico.
In the Bahamas, the Sandals resort is amazing! In the Rivera Maya area, there are many options. Jamaica in October is beautiful, however could rain often. Aruba is also another great place in October. If you choose the Caribbean or Mexico, travel insurance is very important, since it is hurricane season!
