Baking your own wedding cake?

We are not, but I did briefly consider it, just because our food package already involves dessert, and so I really thought no one would eat the cake so I just wanted something for cutting, so why not make something rather than pay several hundred dollars? but in the end, we decided it would be too difficult and have bought one.

I'm excited for you though! Are you an experienced baker, and what do you think you're going to make? What is your inspiration picture for what you want to make?

One thing I'd double check if you haven't already... some places are very picky about allowing outside food or things cooked in kitchens that aren't commercial grade, so you might need to triple check none of those things that apply to your venue!

Ooh I LOVE Canoli! There's a place near us that does these giant canoli cakes, which I always think look suuuper exciting, haha

We are just having dessert and initially no cake. However! I'm now wanting to do a tiny cake for cutting and to put the cute cake topper i bought on. So my aunt is going to make it with me. We are practicing this weekend 🤓

We are making our own cupcakes with gold edible glitter on top No actual cake.

I did not bake my own cake, nor would I really recommend it unless you're a professional baker.
