What are your thoughts on using balloons at your weddings? I have included some pics for inspiration. I'm on mobile so bear with me please.

I've seen some cute balloon ideas without it looking like a kids party. Table numbers with balloons would be cute; they can be large or small. And that way you could have your Mr. And Mrs. Balloons tied to the backs of your chairs but they will also be available for photo props. You could also do a L-O-V-E balloon photo and after put them in a spot where guests can take selfies with them as the backdrop or behind your table or the cake table. You've got a lot of options and they don't have to all include huge displays or tons of balloons. I think with balloons especially in terms of formal events like weddings less is more. You can class them up by using metallics, clear balloons with confetti inside, or adding florals or silk ribbons to the strings.

Photo backdrop. Could easily swap out some plain balloons for LOVE or Mr. & Mrs. balloons.

Or opt for a smaller set of balloons for a more subtle aspect

@jaimes I would highly recommend against releasing any balloons for environmental reasons. You should research it and I think you will change your mind

I would say as a photo prop yes, but at your reception as a centerpiece, no.

I think it really depends on what type of wedding you plan to have. Do you want it to be super formal and ritzy? Maybe balloons won't be the best idea to fit that vision. But if you plan to have a more casual affair, you could probably find a way for them to fit in. What type of wedding are you hoping to have? And how will the balloons fit into that theme? I think those are the questions you need to ask yourself before you consider anyone else's opinions. There were some ideas I saw on Pinterest and I thought "wow that's so cute I want to do it!" But when I thought about the type of wedding I plan to have, some of those ideas just didn't suit what we are envisioning. So we had to nix them. Balloons are something you could incorporate elsewhere, like your engagement photos or to use as photo props for certain photos at your wedding, or you could incorporate them at another time like the rehearsal dinner, the engagement party, the bridal shower, your bachelorette party, or your first anniversary. Just because you don't do it at your wedding doesn't mean those fun ideas have to be pushed completely out of your mind for good Smiley smile

Personally balloons to me are for b-day parties but some of the ones you posted definitely counter my point. I personally would not do balloons at my wedding

Please don't release balloons! Even the ones that claim to be environmentally friendly or biodegradable fall to the earth and resemble food to animals. The animals eat them, get sick and can even die from it. Other than that, I think it just depends on personal preference. If you like how they look, use them. Just please don't release any!

All I know is that when my parents got married in 1991 they had balloons at every table. And oh my god those pics are hideous. But I think the ones you shared are cute! Just dont know if I could get past the outdated pic in my own head
