Bam! Pic Heavy, but help! In your opinion, did mil mess up the pics?

On 8.31.18, I married my best friend and soul mate! The day had its hiccups, as all good weddings do. I married at San Francisco City Hall and the fire alarm went off! But everything went smoothly overall.

I could NOT be happier with the pictures and my photographer, except for one thing . . . my MIL was on her phone the whole time! She was trying to record the (six minute) ceremony after my husband and I both told her we didn't need or really want it recorded, and he and I PLUS our photographer told her and our other family to stay off their phones as the photographer will capture the whole thing. And the best part? She didn't even hit record! So she's just standing there on her phone for no reason. I really feel like that ruined some of what could have been the best shots. So here they are . . .

I know she feels silly about it, but I can't help but be upset!!! We told her! Multiple people told her stay off your phone!

Nobody has said anything. But I know you guys will be honest. How do you think the pictures look? Again, I am SO happy with the quality and my photographer. And obviously, there was nothing he could do about that. Can't really edit a phone out! Lol. But how do they look?

    I wouldn't have noticed, had you not said anything. It sucks that she did that but the focus is you and your hubby.

    Thank you all for your input! I think you are all right, its hard to notice her, now that I'm looking again. Its just easy being the bride, noticing every little detail, good and bad, lol! Thank you all for saying such nice things too!! Smiley smile

    I honestly didn’t even notice her until you said that she was on her phone! Your photos look great, I’m sure that no one other than you will notice she was on her phone! Congratulations!

    I am in love with your photos!!! The sunflowers and shades of blue are so pretty together! You look so beautiful. I can definitely understand how you're feeling, but honestly, it's not noticeable! You and your husband are the main focus!!!

    I definitely see your frustration... but other than that, the pictures came out amazing! At the end of the day, you are married to your best friend and that's all that matters. Smiley smile

    I didn't notice until you said anything! But I can definitely see the frustration. I belong to a photo editing group on Facebook that I'm sure wold be able to remove her or just the phone! The group is called TWEAKERS. Just search for that Smiley smile

    I had to really look at the first one to find her. I get it's annoying, but what can you do? I wouldn't want to fight with her forever, so just let it go. If it really bothers you, use one of the first group you posted, as those are great. And you won't see it every time you look at them.

    First off you look so happy and pretty! I normally don’t care for short wedding dresses but it looks so good on you!!


    It doesn’t ruin the pics at all but I get your point and I would feel the same as you! It’s just annoying that it happened but your pics are still perfect 😊

    I was just focusing onthe two of you!
    I understand how annoying it is, but I don't think it's that bothersome- at least enough to say she ruined the shots.
